Just a little reminder - Poems shouldn't be 8,000 + words. that's a little too much passion. lol

comp description says no max word limit. "We are deliberately keeping this competition open to interpretation. There are no minimum or maximum word limits."

Though I imagine anything that long would be shooting itself in the foot...

"It is an ancient oceanrunner, and he stoppeth one of three..."

Will a poem written in free verse catch the eyes of the judges?
Or is the rhyme dictionary king of this comp?

anything goes. mine is free verse as are many others. smile

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I have heard it being said *glances around* that a dirty limerick which uses the word 'frottage' will do well.

There was a young man in a cottage
Whose smile was of maximum wattage...

Knowhatamsayin?

Clever girl. I do hope duct tape finds its way in your poem

Though his teeth were quite shiny
His cock was really tiny
And his only relief was some frottage

I’ll keep that in mind lol

There once was a girl named Jen.
With eyes that sparkled like gems.

She touched Gil's goatee.
And was put over his knee.

Now her tight, firm bum.
Glows as bright as the sun.
Gonna EP the shit outta those two...

An ecdysiast who cared nothing for fashion,
Had an appropriate sexual passion.
"I get off my rocks
Not with pussy or cocks;
I take out my boobies and flash 'em."
My poem is in

I know I said I was going to win the last competition and I didn't even get in the top 10, but....this one is a shoeing. I'll place in number 1, 2 and 3 I'm sure.
Mine is in, check out "Filthy Beautiful"! There's a lot of great poems in this competition.
I'm only about half way through reading all the entries but there are some absolutely beautiful poems in the Comp. Great work everyone!

I had one going with "frottage" and "fromage"... but is just sounded cheesy.

Frotttag, wattage, cottage.

I didn't enter with an eye on winning this time. I personally doubt a non erotic work like mine will rate highly, but perhaps I'm wrong. Never the less, I wrote mine as a memorial and tribute to Alan's memory and I'm extremely pleased with the result. If anyone who hasn't read it would like to give it a go,

What really pleases me is that there are so many fantastic entries. Alan would be very pleased by that. I have no idea who will win, but I've read many that would be worthy of coming in first. I've read virtually every one and I'll keep up as they are released. I think it's only right, given why this contest is being run.

Oh, if anyone wants to read Dirty Martini's stuff, try the tag 'whatever'. He put this humble notation on all his work.

The Wild Girl anthology need not be read in any order but does take place in the following timeframe

Wild at Heart- 1968. The story of Dani’s Great Aunt Evie.

Wild Oats. Part 1&2. -2021. Dani is 16 and sets her sights on her stepfather.

Wild Child. 2025. Dani is now 20 years old.

I understand that dottage is a popular new word in the urban dictionary. I've seen it in action in some places.

You're right, Milik. Alan would be pleased at so many entries for this poetry only contest.

I started out trying to write a piece that rhymed and scanned, but the challenge of finding a rhyme for Cockfosters defeated me.

And as for scanning a line with Caledonian Road...

So free(ish) verse it had to be.

I've read all the poems entered into this competition, and the shortlist is now in the hands of our judging panel.

The winners are scheduled to be announced on 8 May.
Thank you so much for the update, Nicola. Lots of anxiously waiting folks. This one will be epic, I'm sure.

I was blown away by the quality of the entries to this competition, and got rather emotional reading some. Others were outright filthy, which we also love

Thank you to everyone who took their time to craft poems for this competition. You have done Alan proud.

some of us more than others

I've only just found this out and it makes me so incredibly sad that it has taken me so long to get online and have time to look through the forums. Alan was such a great man, so sweet and funny. He had the best cheerful attitude. I enjoyed being friends with him on Facebook and seeing all the silly, crazy stuff he'd post. I also liked his writings. He had such a wonderful mind when it came to writing. He is someone everyone should try and learn from.

Keep rocking on, Alan. <('')
Hi everyone...smile

I can't express, no words can I say to thank all of you for making me feel so welcome here in your Lush story world. I've never thought of myself as writing anything, and I only wanted to share with you how I feel about my friends here. How much I love everything about Lush. All of the little things we not think about, but we feel, see, do, and say as we make Lush our cyber home. It's my home too, and I love you all. Thank you so much. Have Lushie fun always...warmhug/kiss... ...smile
