Chatrooms issues

I’ve not been on line to chat for a month, but when I enter in the Basement room the title changes to Jacuzzi. And then I can only enter a very short message.

I’m in the UK.

Being able to post only 1 short message happens in all the rooms

I’m on an iPad Mini 6 using Chrome browser.

However if I use a VPN all seems ok. Why should I need to pay to use a VPN to access Lush chat rooms?

The site issues, mainly apparent in the chat rooms, but also errors navigating the site (please try later/page not found), are believed to be network related, affecting the UK only, and sadly not something the site has any control over. It is the ISP's/Network infrastructure providers that are 'dropping the WebSocket'. The development team are now testing a workaround and we should have some results of that tomorrow.

In the meantime we believe that if you use a VPN session when accessing the site then you should experience a normal service. Your browser settings and/or your firewall/anti virus software should facilitate a VPN connection.

Hi my issue is very similar to that of what Kim has mentioned and it is so frustrating.

I've had the same using Edge but seems OK on Chrome which would indicate more a browser compatibility issue than it being a UK issue -or is that over simplifying things??

Hi, I reported the following. Wi-Fi seems intermittent, sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.

I am in the UK, works on 4G, and worked on WiFi yesterday. My chrome browser is up to date. Deleted all past cookies etc.

I noticed last night, that the rooms are updating more frequently. Not like it used to, but much better than has been recently. However, the other issues still remain, such as not being able to post anything etc.
Anyway, I know it's a crappy time of the year to be sorting stuff like this out so thanks a bunch and merry Christmas.

Lets hope this is sorted out soon otherwise ....

Sarah, I have noticed this as well. But it varies from one day to another. On WiFi in my house this morning, it worked OK.

Hi, today on WiFi all seemed back to normal. Tried on 4G, and couldn't get a connection into a room. For me this is how it used to be, but approx 3 weeks, or so, I was able to connect via 4G. I assumed that an upgrade for 4G had been made. Thanks.

Just logged in without my VPN all seems well if a little slow in places when changing areas but no error messages, fingers crossed. well done John and the team x

Ooops, spoke to soon just had my first error message when trying to go back to my profile and had a problem getting back to the forum to post this, reconnected my VPN to post this

Given the change we have made, it could be cache, cookies etc. that are still causing that so please could you clear down and reboot and try again using your standard IP connection. Let me know the outcome here please. A packet of biscuits may come your way! 😇

Sorry John, cleared my cache, deleted all cookies, rebooted, logged on with no VPN, went to the chat room first seemed to be ok but some of the icons were missing for the members tried to look at some of my friends profiles then hit problems couldn't see there media then couldnt get back to my profile took a screenshot but couldnt post it, so logged out switched on my VPN logged back in posted this and the screenshot

Do I still get the biscuits ??😉

I assume that is not when using a VPN? What happens when you do try using a VPN?

VPN gives me problems with other sites but I'll give it a go when I have time. Surely it shouldn't happen, though?

That seems much better, although the ping is still over 300ms. I don't really want VPN on two PCs, two iPads and two 'phones! I'll have to use VPN for now, but hope a ix can be found.

Just the same here, i HAVE to use a VPN to access the site its a pain but i can live with it. Come on techies do you stuff 😊

Clearly something is wrong as, although I had problems with only being able to publish just one message in chatrooms, with all subsequent messages never appearing in chat, all seems ok for me now. Hope I haven’t spoken too soon.

Hi, the chat room issue has resurfaced again for me. I cannot seem to change rooms again, and when attempting to change rooms, the name of the room appears to be different (if that makes sense). Is the software being tinkered with?

Is it the case that you try to join a local Lush room and land up in one of the global rooms? e.g. jacuzzi

No, l land in the Lounge and tried to move to a standard room. Failed twice. I have since tried again, and now working OK.
