This was certainly true in my case. My hair was more strawberry blonde than fully red, but I had the pale skin and freckles to go with it. I did not feel as pretty as the other girls in school, but I got over that. Although, there was the year I had braces and got my first pair of glasses... Lol! A few years ago, on a whim, I dyed my hair blonde. My husband, who has been with me since we were 17, loves it. He likes the red, too, and leaves it to me to choose.
