I'm currently a stripper and have been doing it for about three years. It makes money but isn't exactly the most fun job (message me if you want more details). I'm curious as to how the fellas of Lush feel about strip clubs.
Have you ever been to one?
Did you get a lap dance?
Would you go back?
Look forward to hearing the responses. Thanks guys.
Was in them a dozen or fewer times when in my twenties or early thirties. After that strip clubs or titty bars have been a once a decade thing. Usually on some sort of guys night out. A few weeks ago I was doing a extended weekend threesome & the lady decided we should spend a few hours in a strip club. The other man & I kicked back & enjoyed th show, while she flirted with the strippers and waitresses in the hope of a second female for our soiree.
Main down side of the stripper scene for me is the girls crossing over into alcohol and drug abuse. There a lot of money landing on relatively young and inexperienced women, who are working in a enviroment populated by a above average number of predators. Since I've been in only one strip bar in the last 22 years I cant say if this has changed much from what I remember from the 1970s-90s.
Aside from nekked women what I enjoyed were the strippers who were particularly atheletic or skilled at gymnastics. Some venues had the girls doing themed acts, just a bit more than pull some clothes off & shake their thonged ass. Some of the girls doing those had great imagination & a bit of skill & put on a genuinely entertaining show.
Pro tip: wear sweat pants, linen pants or something equally thin and unrestrictive.
I've been to a strip club maybe three or four times. I didn't care for the atmosphere and was never inclined to return. I can recall only one dancer that appealed to me. She did a creatvie strip that I found erotic. In general, most of the dancers I've seen just take it off and bump and grind. They weren't or didn't create the illusion that they were into what they were doing.
Yes, Yes, and maybe.
When I was much younger sometimes my friends and I would go and enjoy the sites. My wife was curious so we went a few times. It just isn't my thing anymore.
Wouldn't you rather have a nice cup of tea?
I used to go occassionally in my 20s. I don't really object to them, or anyone who works at a strip club, but in my opinion the business/money/transactional side of things ruins the fun of being around a naked woman.
Don't believe everything that you read.
I like the idea of strip clubs but I haven't ever been to one. However, there have been two instances were I nearly went with some friends.
The first time was after a day of river rafting as our shuttle route happened to travel past one near our take-out point. Unfortunately I lost my wallet during the trip and was without ID to get in or money with which to pay the dancers. It worked out though as there was a girl in our group that wasn't into the idea and jumped at the opportunity to take me home instead.
The second time was about five years later with the same group of friends plus several more. We were all excited to go but them someone pointed out that the club in question didn't have a liquor license. It was pretty much instantly decided that we would rather stay where we were and drink instead of making the 45 minute drive.
I guess technically there was a third time last year on a business trip with a group of coworkers, all from various offices around the country. I didn't realize where they were going until they were already on their way back but I guess it was for the best as they said it was pretty boring beyond one funny story of seeing some drunk dude get thrown out.
I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?
When I lived and worked in Columbus, my girlfriend was a topless server at a strip club north of the campus, so I went a few times because she was working there. I got a rush watching the girls, and a bit embarrassed watching how crude the guys were. I've never gone to a strip club since then, but mostly because I don't live in Columbus anymore.
The OP has been a Lush member for over ten years, yet doesn't have an avatar picture, and when I try to look at their profile, I get a 404 error message. Hmmm.
Shared a flat whilst at university with a girl who worked at a local strip club. Not a good experience for her, but not a bad one, either. Not the same for some of the other girls with whom she worked.

I have no idea what that's supposed to mean. Other than that you are a jerk.
I live in one of the best strip club cities in the USA. There may be 70 or more. You can find all levels up to the very exclusive ones that have Penthouse Pets and Playboy Centerfolds either as regular dancers or as special appearance dancers. Many of the most famous female pornstars tour the country dancing and Atlanta is one of their longest stops.
You can find some real cheesy places too, but there are several clubs on every level from low class to the every upscale expensive ones.
My wife and I both love to go to strip clubs. We especially like to go with a group of our friends. the strippers love it when groups of couples come in. The strippers open up more and become even more uninhibited if you have females in your group. Most of the dancers are very bisexual.
Make sure to get your wife or girlfriend a lap dance.
Many, many years ago - Noah was still building canoes - my then girl friend (now my wife) and I went to a strip club.
There was only one stripper and she danced to the Stones hit 'I can't get no satisfaction'.
Her final reveal was to remove her bra.
What was revealed was later accurately described as 'like two Aspirins on an ironing board'.
Result: an audience stunned into silence.
I dislike them, I feel so awkward
Played a few gigs with strippers one had a snake. We were bashing out some Slade song Cum On Feel The Noise when the female singer during a guitar solo suddenly disappeared behind the drummer (who had an intense phobia of snakes) and then came back after the solo. After we finished the set I asked her what she had been doing. She said ''Oh the python had came out of its basket and was moving across the stage so I just picked it up and put it back in its basket. The drummer turned white.
I have often thought about it but the local joints are all a bit sleazy. Nothing like a Penthouse club or anything, just dirty old places in dubious neighbourhoods and strip plazas. One of them got shut down a couple years ago due to its biker connections.
Last year in Tampa my hotel was near a Penthouse club but I resisted temptation (and the cost of food on their menu was off-putting no matter how many tits were on display).
So, it's a "maybe someday" thing for me. In the end, what I've read from guys who go (mostly on another board, not here) doesn't really excite me, though. It would be more to satisfy curiosity and do some research (I have a story idea that has industrial spies meeting in a strip club for a drop)
Won a few amateur stripper contest in a famous strip club in Los Vagus in the late 80s and early 90s. Then a few years ago in another club in Los Vagus for mature amateurs.

Never went to a real strip club, but did end up on a burlesque night in Brighton a few years back that had some fun though truly decent strip acts. The women who did these acts were not the hottest for sure, but they were really enjoying themselves with a lot of humor (well, humour of course) which made it into a wonderful show. I'd love to go to a show like that once more.

Only in 30 states and as many countries while in the Navy.
Never been... probably like the fantasy of it more than I would the reality, so best kept as a fantasy I think.
While it's always nice to admire women's bodies, I ultimately find them depressing, mostly because a pathetic loneliness seems to fill the air. I know all types of men go there for different reasons, some truly lonely, many for a good time, but the thing I detest the most is a bunch of drunken frat boys screaming at women.
Last time I was traveling home from Florida to Kentucky. Stopped for the night in Chattanooga. Found a strip club, went in. Wanted a lap dance, but we could only dance together. I made an arrangement and she was free to leave with me and to the room we went! Years ago, went to a few. Too easy to go broke in those places! I loved the ones in Florida. During the lap dance, it was ok to touch. Had my hands on her ass through it all! Wish they had been playing American Pie!
Been to lots around London, England. They vary. Some are so bright lit and glitzy it’s almost sterile. Best are the gloomy slightly dingy ones where the girls look like real girls next door and it’s much more intimate. Some offer “private dances” where a girl strips just for you in a little booth and gets real close. These vary too. Most have a no touching rule, but in some places that seems only to apply to the men and the girl sometimes has a feel of your cock through your pants. If you go looking you soon find the places, and the girls, where your hands can explore as well as watch. Thoroughly enjoy a well performed strip from a girl who knows how to move and has lots to show off!
Went to a club years ago with some of the guys from work to see what "all the fuss was about" since the club was pretty new and the area didn't have many clubs prior. Turned out the hostess worked out at the same gym I did. And she had offered my wife a job waiting tables (she left out the details, waiting to see if my wife would be interested in the job first I guess). She was in her "uniform" thong, skimpy bra, stockings, garters, and heels. She was talking talking to the guys in our group, welcoming us, the basics. She was completely smooth and professional even nearly naked, until she recognized me from the gym. Then she became a bit embarrassed, a little flustered, but she kept a pretty confident front. I smiled and told her if she wore that outfit the gym she wouldn't have problems with getting guys to spot her on the weights. (it was a "guys gym, and not many took women seriously around the equipment). My wife didn't follow-up the job offer, her call.
I've never been a huge fan of them, just not my style I guess. If I had a friend working at one ask me to come see her work, I'd go. Gotta be there for your friends after all.
I will say though, it was a damn good lunch.
