I got one one reader who reads all of my stories over and over and she masturbates until she cums multiple times...

I do love to hear that my erotic stories caused them to "get off". I have only written one story that caused me to "get off". I have read many other stories by other authors that caused me to "get off".

So I hope the readers feel what I feel. I have gotten many personal letters that say so.

Good question! It's not something I really thought about until recently. I write mainly because I enjoy it and I post my stories in the hope that others will enjoy them, too. My writing is more on the subtle side though and not overly sexy, so I wouldn't have thought readers did anything other than just read.

I post my work on an offsite blog as well as here and received a twelve page Word attachment via email recently from a man who'd read all of my stories and wanted to describe...uh...how he felt about them. In great detail. So that made me realise that maybe there are others who "enjoy" them that way, too. (I don't usually get those kind of emails.)

Hmmm. Actually it was just eleven pages. The first one was just a cover page.

While I'm writing, I never even think about anyone reading it. I write, not as an end in itself, but to learn how to write better. Every story is just an exercise in bettering my writing ability. If I post it, I think about whether readers will see a style that differentiates my writing from others'. No one has ever said they use my stories for sexual gratification, so that doesn't enter my mind even after a story is posted. Sex isn't really the focus of my stories, but since it's a central part of my life, it's always part of my stories.

I always think when I am writing my story and after I am done with it, if I had to stop during it to masturbate I know it's a good story.

Most of my readers tell me that they jack off to my stories. I take that as the highest compliment ever.

I am always very happy that my stories make my readers happy. It's like me sprinkling a little joy with my words.

I'm not sure I've got many readers left. I think I'd better write something new, to find out. Then I could ask them what they do.

Well, my stuff is pretty niche - spanking, and caning in particular. It's designed for men to masturbate to. If women enjoy it too, then that's a very special bonus for me.

I've found I can get very turned on writing. If any one person that reads my stories gets even remotely as turned on by reading it as I did writing, then I consider that a success and I'm truly flattered. If they're turned on, then I think I have a fair idea what the might be doing while they read.

I try to write for me but in after a friend read a recent draft, I realized that I have to compromise somewhat to give my audience what they want. Ie I didn't get to the "action" fast enough.

That being said, I think the greatest compliment I can receive is to hear from a reader that I evoked emotion in them and oh my god yes I want it to be excitement! I get giddy when I read comments about how horny it made them! But I don't think about that much when I'm writing it.

I know that in the past as a reader, I have copied and pasted my favorite stories into word documents so I have easy access should I ever want to read them again.

What do people do when they read my writing? well, see the first paragraph, face palm and then find something half decent to read. Obviously. :P

When I write, I'm not thinking of what the readers will think. I want to make sure that I'm happy with it. When I get inspired to write a story, I begin writing it in my head and then I'll start typing it out.

I've gotten many comments saying "You made me so hard!" "I came so much!" "You're so fuckin' hot."
I've also gotten many inbox messages asking if we can take it to private so I can 'finish' them off. Because they want even more. As if I owe them somehow. I've had a good amount also ask to Skype sex with them too. Many think because I got them turned on through my stories, I owe them a mind blowing finish. Sorry pal, if you did while reading one of my stories, go read another.

I would hope that they read my stories backwards while searching for secret Illuminati codes and Satanic messages embedded in the 6th letter of the 6th line of every 6th paragraph.

But if they read them straight and just enjoy them as much as I enjoy writing them, that's fine too. If they're turned on by them, even better.

There's kind of a nice validation in having someone (strangers, even) agree that your thoughts and fantasies are in fact sexy.

Don't believe everything that you read.

I think (and hope) they enjoy reading them.

If they enjoy them enough to have some sexy fun while reading them, fantastic, but having people read and enjoy my work is the primary concern.

As usual, Katie said it better than I could.

I had a friend who posted stories at another site, who told me she put "(!)" into her stories at the points where she had orgasms while writing them. Some of my stories would have too many such marks to leave them in unexplained...

Oh, and I agree with Andrew (Maba54) -- they're written for me first. Everybody who likes them is extra gravy for me.

I must confess that I am not altruistic enough to think about my readers' particular pleasure (in whatever form that may be) when I'm writing. I write because I enjoy writing and language and like to explore and improve.

I came to lush as just a reader though, and if I had just been looking for a good read I would have just gone to Amazon or the library, but I was looking for erotic fiction. If I was looking for erotic fiction, it was to serve a purpose.

I have since, of course, found out that there is a high standard of writing on lush, meaning that stories don't have to just serve a basic, efficient purpose but can actually draw the reader into a story and take them somewhere. Being erotic fiction though, it should have something erotic in it and if that is well written then you would hope that it would provoke certain feelings with the reader...

Anyway, what a reader choses to get from my stories is entirely their business. I enjoy writing, so if they enjoy reading, then everyone's a winner!

I certainly write with the intention of giving my readers something to arouse them sexually, and I love to think of them masturbating while they’re reading.

To think that I have been able to connect with them in such a direct and pleasurable way is very satisfying as a writer.

And of course I diddle myself while I’m writing: I figure that if I can get myself off on my stories, they might just do the same for other people!

22 February 2024 - How about a quick plug for one of my filthiest recent stories? It's all in the title - Naked Pool Party Swingers | Lush Stories Please read, comment and maybe give it a ❤️ - or even a⭐ if you really enjoy it! Thank you! Annie xxx

I know this is odd, but... I'm interested to know what goes through your mind about your readers when you write and post a story.

For me, I write a story, because I feel like writing, and then I post it, and think that if people read it, and like it, I am happy. The first time I got told somebody was... shall we call it, "excited"... over one of my stories, I was mortified. And then I remembered that this is Lush, and that was a good thing. Surely?

Speaking with somebody just now (the Scottish lass with the excitable readers), I said that from the looks of her comments, people were certainly very happy to read her latest story. And she said, she didn't want to think about it in too much detail. But I think, what do we expect our readers to do? You know, reading sexy stories on a sex site.

Me? I expect them to read it, if they choose. and either enjoy it or not as a simple story, and that's all. It doesn't really occur to me that things I write can or do create... Happy Feelings.

So, do you sit writing and wiggling away, as some of you have said you do, thinking, "Oh god, people are soooo going to wank over these three sluts and their enormous gherkins"? Or is it more, "I hope people have a good, hard think about this tonight"? Or do you think they print them off and use them laminated or framed? Do you think they share them in bed (or anywhere they want to have sex) with a partner(s)? Maybe leave them lying round for guests to find? Or are you more like me, and you simply write for the joy of it? Or...?

Please tell me, Authors: What do you think your readers do?

if I don't have 2 or 3 readers tell me they were 'excited' I consider the story a flop.

If I'm writing an erotic tale and somebody hasn't got aroused, then I know I've done a bad job. I'd be 'mortified' it didn't elicit that response in at least someone!

I really do want to turn my readers on. It's secondary to being entertaining, but for most of my writing, I'm hoping to do both.

I've had people tell me it helped their married sex life and I think that's my favorite response. Though, I never mind knowing there was a physical reaction to something I put on paper.

Most of my worry is that someone will decide that everything I write is a Mary Sue and I'm really looking to be fisted in a shed or have sex in public. Although...maybe that would be good for my reputation.

I've had a few emails from readers telling me how it turned them on and that they've masterbated while reading. A few couples have told me how it led some terrific sex afterwards. One couple even wrote and told us how after reading my story, 'First Night at a Swingers Club' helped their decision to attend one.

We've even had invitations to meet, but as they were in the USA and we're in the UK it hasn't happened.

It does encourage me to write more when I get the time.

Thank you to all who take the time to read my stories and enjoy them. We both love reading the comments. ?

When I first started scribbling here for fun, 'that' angle hadn't occurred to me until an ardent reader or two communicated, ahem, certain specific reactions. No, it wasn't and isn't my objective (fun and therapy are win-and-place), so I believe most of my readers simply click on to the next offering for something more 'useful.'

I wrote my first piece for my wife as a single, standalone scene. She liked it and said she was interested to know what happened next. It snowballed from there.

Then when I got published on Amazon, she told her friends and I got some giggly feedback that they'd all enjoyed it, except for one who is very sexually open and cheerfully exclaimed that she'd jumped her husband after reading it!

Despite the friends and family, nothing much else has happened in the year that the title has been on Amazon. However, since joining Lush only a few short weeks ago with my latest project, the number of views and feedback has been mindblowing.

I'm very flattered if my stories get you excited but to be honest, I'm just as flattered if they inspire any kind of positive emotional reaction. The ultimate for me is feedback from a reader be it praise or constructive criticism. You don't have to read, vote or comment on our work but it's fantastic when you do!

When I write a story it is for my own enjoyment, and by extension the enjoyment of others. I'll think of a situation that may or not be factual, decide how the action will flow, the characters act, etc. I've been very pleased to receive comments that the reader likes my style, the story is like sitting around at a bar swapping stories, that it flows naturally. That's what I'm after, taking the reader along with me on a little adventure, immersing then in the senses, vicariously taking them there. If I can accomplish that, I'm happy. The reader gives us all an irreplaceable gift, the gift of their time. I hope to have them never regret having done so....
