Here is my RR https://www.lushstories.com/stories/love-poems/door-ajar.aspx
An RR that was well deserved. In spite if what she says, what Adi writes is pure poetry and in this one the pain is almost palpable. I still can't read it without shedding some tears.
A little kindness can be so valuable, yet costs almost nothing

In many countries being gay is a crime, and even in modern societies, politicians try to legalise discrimination. Your voice can make a difference. Have a look at All Out to find out how.

Hey... pssst.... that's an l (as in luscious) at the end of my name, not an i
Actually no. I want more people to read ALL my stories! So make yourself some lunch, get comfy, and start reading! I've got something here for almost everyone!
The first poem that I have written since high school almost 40 years ago only has around 400 views. I don't know if the reason it has not been read is because it's not well written or of it is because of the topic (it is who I am )

The sequel is also not receiving much attention https://www.lushstories.com/stories/erotic-poems/flashing-sequel.aspx

If you believe it is because of how it is written please PM me with suggestions for improving my poetry writing

I put a lot of work into this one for a Valentine's competition, and I thought it was pretty good, but it didn't get read much, partly because of the category (I suspect) and partly because it was quite a late entry to the comp.

It was totally different from anything I'd written before—a bit supernatural, and an unusual concept. I think more people would have liked it if they'd given it a chance.

Okay.

This is EXACTLY what I was hoping this thread would reveal.

What a fantastic, well written story. It was a tough read for me, not because of the content, but because it was so well crafted. I needed to slow down and appreciate the effort that went into writing this.

Just fucking WOW. You SHOULD be proud of this work.

While reading this, a thought crossed my mind. I'm still relatively new to this site, but I have a suggestion.

Given that competitions seem to run every two months or so, could we propose to Lush Admin that there be a re-publishing of stories like this in the off months?

I haven't worked out the details, but somehow a story like this could be nominated by a reader or readers. After the nomination date expires, the stories are again reviewed by the group (Mods?) and the top three are picked. Nothing, except past winning competition entries, should be excluded. Chances are, a few more than three RR's or better could/should be awarded. Maybe there is another way to do this.

What a gem this is.

If any Admin reads this thread, or someone knows someone in Admin that would consider this or would like to comment on this idea, please, discuss it.

As far as ex post facto honors, quite a few of the stories in the last competition were awarded RRs after the competition was over, since they can't get them when the competition is going on.

I agree that there should be some way of showcasing old stories, but I don't really know what that should look like, other than threads like this. I think it would be kind of cool to give each author a spot on their page somewhere, along the lines of, "If you're here, and you don't know where to start, here's the one I'd most like you to read."

i actually have a thread where i post other stories i think people should read. it's under the self promotion banner.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I tried but this link doesn't work. I also searched using the title but it doesn't come up either.

Is there another way to see this?

Thanks for the link. Yup. I really enjoyed this one. It's someone who knows what she wants and gets it.

Does she have more you're willing to share of her's, or is she's willing to share them herself?
Questions of Love

Is love but a fleeting feeling?
Or something that is true?
Is it just a passing emotion?
Why is it drawing me to you?

Is love about finding beauty?
Why is there so much pain?
Can it truly mend a broken heart?
Can it make me whole again?

Is it love that bonds us together?
Or desire that controls our minds?
Can my love be a soulful promise?
Or did I just simply waste your time?

Is love like a hidden secret?
One that I am so unaware?
Does it lead to greater purpose?
Do you know how much I care?

Is love about seeking forgiveness?
Will it set aside consuming pride?
Will my selfish will bend to yours?
Or just push yours to the side?

Is love the thing the seals us?
Or am I caught by what you say and do?
Is my heart truly filled with love?
Why can't I stop thinking of you?

Is our love the real question?
Could it ever be defined?
Do you feel my soul touching yours?
Will you forever always be mine?

Even though this did not get RR, it is still my favorite poem. It was so difficult writing a poem completely comprised of questions. Plus I thought the questions to be legitimate not just put there to rhyme.
The Reunion

I was restless all night in anticipation.
Thinking of our long awaited reunion.

Was it possible to try and recapture
the very first love of my faded youth?

My memories were flooded with our
glorious but tumultuous relationship.

How I would sit in class daydreaming
of your inviting enticing, captivating form.

Now we finally meet at the break of dawn,
Just like we have so many times before.

I stand before your magnificence.
In awe of your pleasures awaiting.

The breaking sun silhouettes the form
of your seductive breathless beauty.

Your very scent triggers my memories.
And beckons me to renew past exploits.

Nothing but you can stir this passion
within me in such an addictive way.

Will you receive me as companion
or send me tumbling in rejection?

I can wait no longer in my impatience,
as I slip into the wetness of your folds.

I remember your salty taste upon my lips,
Diving head first into your undulating motion.

You push and surge as I stroke with all
the power, soul and skills of my being.

Cresting, gliding, and moving in unison,
your promised pleasures are unmatched.

But if you're not treated with careful respect,
I know that you can be cold and unforgiving.

Our reunion is almost finished and joy complete as
I slip and slide faster and faster into pure ecstasy.

With this glorious long anticipated encounter accomplished.
Breathlessly I gather myself for another beckoning round.

Only God may truly understand my love and devotion for...
Surfing.
I’m going to offer up my story Paper Hearts:

https://www.lushstories.com/stories/love-stories/paper-hearts.aspx

As my stories tend to be pretty serious in nature, and often appear in the least popular categories, I’m very much aware that I don’t have mass appeal. I’m rather content with my lot, but even by my standards this one sank without trace. As it’s a story I’m fond of, I’d like more people to read it.

Anyway, I’ll be sure to check out as many of the pieces listed here as possible. I’m sure there will be a few gems.
A shimmer darkness falls over my pall,
with a scintilla of ink my last breath call,
'fore the spade diggers lay me final sleep
and my shrill thralls forever coffin deep.

Gone are the lips that caressed my fess,
kissing shadows of my pantomime host,
as your soft breath eased my pain,
lost in words with erotic stain.

A simmering thigh cast an eye,
drawing last hand of a Yarborough,
discarding my sinful boast,
last words of a poetic ghost.

On the shoals of forgotten tides,
a shimmer darkness falls over my pall
like a stone cold of old bones,
saving prose for my final rest.
This is not one of my stories awarded an RR, but definitely one of my favourites--don't know why, exactly. https://www.lushstories.com/stories/straight-sex/falling.aspx

If you want to read one of my RR's, they're in my sig line, and I do admit that it'd be nice if Tension could be my first Famous Story. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Want to spend some time wallowing in a Recommended Read? Pick one! Or two! Or seven!

I have 1 famous story and 15 others and another about to be uploaded soon. There isn't any one in particular I'd prefer people to read as I hope all them are enjoyed by whoever reads them.

Some of them are true, some are an elaboration of actual events and some are fantasy. If you wish to know which are which then you only need to ask.

What did you entitle this poem?
For me it's probably this one, "Monochrome".

https://www.lushstories.com/stories/straight-sex/monochrome.aspx

It was something very different that came to me as I lay awake in the middle of the night one night, and I wrote it in one sitting the next morning. It was oddly emotional to write for some reason. It's also my shortest at less than 2,200 words, which, as anyone that reads me much will recognize, is a huge accomplishment in and of itself!
Ok well if you are all gonna post more than one..so am I

My debut story ...I am really proud of it and worked really hard on it.

I know the story name is crap but I find it easier to write them than name them..I always find naming them really hard

I left a comment for you about this poem. It took me back to that time I felt the same way.

Thank you for suggesting we reading this!
This is a GOOD QUESTION/THREAD and yet...

(I LIKE all mine!!! In a way, I GUESS your pieces are like your kids... You LOVE them all, but in different ways... DO YOU HAVE FAVOURITES??? Hell, YES!!!)

I DON'T pimp my own work... (I never think that's my job, read it if YOU WANT TO...) I have NO PROBLEM with people who DO THAT, in fact, I often read stuff I get through SPAM... (But I don't do that...)

I think, PUTTING IT OUT THERE invites people to READ IT... (And they will or they won't...)

But that's not MY CALL...

(Read it if you WANT to...)

My job is to WRITE the bugger!
