Authors - What's Your Most-Favourited Story?

There are several ways by which stories are ranked or rated on Lush. The ones that have been read the most times now have little “Famous” and “Legendary” badges. The ones that the Moderators like have “Recommended Read” or “Editor’s Choice” awards. But as far as I can tell there’s no easy way to tell which ones have been “favourited” by the most readers – surely a significant indicator of quality as well as popularity. I decided to have a look at mine, and work it out.

My most favourited story, by quite a long way, is “Schoolgirl Dares With Sarah”, with 70 people adding it to their profile as a “favourite story”. It’s also my second-most-read, with 119,850 hits.

In second place, with 57 “favourites”, is my most-read story, “Exposing Myself”. It’s had 149,924 hits, but clearly doesn’t hit that special spot quite as often!

Those two are both well ahead of the field, with the next two on 24 and 21 “favourites”;
“Two Teen Lesbian Virgins and a Vibrator” (94,802 hits) and
“My Sex-Packed Holiday Chapter 1” (35,644 hits).

It’s also interesting that none of these “Top 4” have been given “RR” or “EC” awards, though the two immediately below them do (with 17 favourites each);
“The Offering” (EC), and
“Taking Penny Home” (RR).

After that, there’s a few more in the teens and lots with single-figure likes.

But I’m sure 70 isn’t anything like the record. Please have a look and share the stories that most of your readers have added to their favourites. What is your most-favourited?
And (of course) there were a few at the bottom of the heap that no-one has “favourited” so far. Some of these I’m content to leave in obscurity, but a couple of them deserve some love, in my opinion. I’m going to highlight just four, in case anyone wants to go and have a look. The first three are funny poems; the last is an epic, sexy, steampunk adventure.

I don’t get many. Including my Micro comp and recommended reads, none have ever made it to fifteen and most are in the low single digits, if they have any at all. If I thought it was an accurate measure of my writing, I would have stopped submitting long ago.
Maybe I need to take some boob selfies to trade...

Unfortunately, I don't know of any quick way. Open each story and go to the end of it. There is a Story Stats box with likes/favorites/views.

You can narrow the process that Kistin highlighted by sorting your stories page by tapping Search->Sort by->Most favorited first. But to find how many exactly, you need to open it and get to the bottom stats panel.

Getting favorites on a Micro is an impressive feat in my opinion.

Hmm. That's surprising. I figured it would be Beneath (back when I was Verbal), but that only has 3. My most recent story, Tintinnabulation, has 15. That's my best.

Only authors can see their stats, so it's hard to tell if mine are good, bad, or indifferent, but I imagine for the various micros getting 120+ likes and 40+ comments, the favorites will follow suit.

I think the current form of 'favorites' is a Lush v2 addition, so many v1 stories will have none, unless someone came across it in the archives since the change.

v1 Lush had favorites, because I remember getting them, but I don't think they survived the transition to v2. Beneath getting three favorites AFTER the transition makes more sense to me.

Yeah I think faves got converted to regular likes when we moved away from the scoring system. Or maybe, as you say, they fell away during transition.

Beneath still remains one of my faves of yours.

Apparently, it is Heavenly Sinner, which is also, probably not coincidentally, my most-liked story. 18 favourites and 59 likes.

I’m stunned. Just looked down the beginning of the story list and my current comp entry has 20 favorites. Way more than others I checked. Usually my fav stories aren’t the ones reader favorite.

Thank you!!!! My twin and I are sobbing messes this year missing Mom. Last year we were relieved she’d passed because her life with Alzheimer’s was so awful. Now we figure we are so upset because the Alzheimer’s nightmare has faded and we’re remembering the Mom that was the light and joy of every Christmas. So, it was cathartic in a way to write a happier end of life for someone.

I've just looked through mine and it's 'Ms Garbanza' - I'm guessing because it's in the ever-popular Fem-Dom category! Perhaps I should get out my cane more often, there's clearly a lot of very naughty boys out there 😁
