Is it just me, or does the fantasy genre stories on lush generally get a greater amount of traffic than some of the other genres? I'd guess most of us who do read these stories are not actually drawn to in our lives, so I wonder why we delight ourselves in reading them in large numbers. Is it JUST the aspect then?

I have no data to back this up, but I suspect you are right. It seems as if many people have a bit of a rebel in them, so anything that is generally frowned on by society, they find appealing. It doesn't make much sense that people would like something that is not accepted by society, but then who ever said humans were logical creatures?
If you're feeling bored during this Covid-19 epidemic I’d like to suggest
you take a peek at a story I collaborated with SueBrasil, a brilliant author.
It's about a mistake in judgment a lady makes concerning a friend, based
on the hurtful words of someone that only thinks of himself. Will that
conniving person succeed in ruining a beautiful friendship, or will she see
through his lies? It's gradually creeping up towards the 30,000 mark
and we’d love any votes or hearing whatever comments you may wish
to make. It is listed in my profile under ‘FAVOURITES’ as Apologize.

It's literature so it garners a lot of attention.

Like Mollydoll told me when I asked her: It's the hottest form of . I'm guessing its so sick, that' it's s not sick if that makes sense. It's hot for some reason, and a lot of people latch onto it or don't at all. My point is that it's completely obvious, or a total mystery. You can't be sure what is going on in people's heads to make them like what they like, just like with their taste in movies, music, food, or anything else. The lion's share of my stories are in that category, and I have no idea why I the concept so hot, I just do.

Because most of what used to be is now readily available for free in vast quantities. They're creeping into the mainstream. 50 shades of gray. Eat that booty like groceries. The novelty and high is gone. It's no longer edgy, rebellious, and dirty. It's on your movie screen and on your radio all the time.

You already see the same progression happening with content. "In-law" and "Step" isn't enough now. That's reaching a saturation point in porn videos. Aunt, Uncle, Niece, Nephew are getting there as well. The numbers are falling on that sort of content, and it's full-on blood relatives in the nuclear family pulling in the big numbers now.

Porn and erotica are now burning through the last of the great taboos. The real question is what's next? What's more extreme than to trigger that high porn/erotica viewers are chasing? Boggles the mind and gives you chills when you think about it, because what lies beyond is some seriously scary territory.

Yeah I understand what you're saying. Not that it's important, but I've never had any concept of in real life until I found it in erotic stories (later porn). It was instantly exciting for me to read these stories, but had zero implications on my desires outside of them.

I hadn't actually thought about that. That's an interesting insight.

And yes, it boggles the mind. Perhaps it would be prudent to stop here, since it's a classic (Oedipal complex), and has sustained a long time. But there will be peripheral genres as tech progresses, and yes, it might well get scary in a serious way.

Personally I have found in general that stories are of a higher quality than most erotica. The writing is of a higher caliber.

Hmm. Ok.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Let's just go with I'm not even remotely okay with , and have difficulty believing that it is a healthy idea to entertain, even if no action is ever taken. Fantasy or no, it's just not something about which I enjoy thinking or reading. Also, do you know how difficult it is to obtain napalm now? Reading an " fantasy" story tends to make me not want to praise the author but to go....uh, test out my flamethrower (totally legal!). Which never ends well.

For me, it has more to do with attraction and desire. In general, I find that stories focus more on the attraction aspect of it. IMO, hot sex is mechanical in description without building a sense of why the desire is there.

Romance stories focus on fantasy. Other niche categories tend to focus on the deed. Give me the desire. Give me the motivation.

Have no idea...other than most people desire to be rebel-like und not get caught up in the blah blah "Metropolis" tendencies of some socialistic ethnic groups or popular demographic.
A minority of these people can maybe, sometime, seek to satisfy this desire by such fantasy of the most on Lush?

Of course other individuals can seemingly take this to extreme sometime having , , underage/ , etc... desires because of their suffering Paraphilia (Psychosexual Disorders) caused by experiences in their life such as bad parenting, abuse, lack of social skill, or bad influence from the immorality of co-inhabiting social demographic, American Hollywood narrative, media, political und religious extremism.
They can even suffer from genetic disorder, simple retarded mentality/ignorance/non-intellect...so again they may seek these desires out on a fantasy sex-site.
Though it isn't my fancy, this ist obviously much preferred than if they practice it in their real life, which I can believe many do as well.

However, such Paraphilia isn't my discipline, so I'm only guessing...

There are many erotic story websites publishing much worse genre than .

If the topic question included (Why does Lush allow the genre?)...?

Ah, I see. I trust napalm would not be very easily obtainable, but understandable question perhaps. I shouldn't say too much on the topic at any rate, as you might easily find out.

Strictly is illegal. Anything illegal or has some form of fascination. The stories here are regulated by denying force being used to achieve the relationship. That is a good thing. However, the fact people are fascinated with it proves there is a desire to read and write about proves that it is, in many peoples minds, the idea that it does occur in real life.
I have written a few stories involving . In a couple of the stories, the incidents that occurred were based on my knowledge of an actual instance, somewhat embellished for literary purposes, but the underlying facts are based on fact.

Strictly is illegal. <snip>

Strictly depends on your definition and where you are.
Seems 1st cousins are mostly illegal in the US, but legal in the UK.
In the UK there is no longer an law, it is all grouped together under the sexual offences act.
Head into Spain, France, The Netherlands and Japan and it is legal at some level. In Greece it is legal but only for minors... I know!

A lot of South American and African nations have laws ranging right up to it being legal to marry and pro-create with your sibling.

All that said, it is still hugely across the readership and that is really the important thing. is exciting, is fun. At 5 taking a cookie out of the jar was ... it was a risk, it made the reward so much sweeter.
At 10 finding a playboy or girl was that
Using the F word had it's moment.
But that's another definition that varies wildly, reading these stories - , it seems seeing a sibling naked is a huge in some stories, I regularly saw siblings and parents naked, not because we were nudists nor anything sexual to it, just we never worried about it.

But I can't disagree that some of the best stories are in that category. Okay, maybe not, but certainly some of the wildest... check out CrystalsVoyur some of his are just an insane ride. That is another aspect, because of crossing a line all restrictions can come off.

The reason I know about the differing laws I did a bunch of research for the series I am writing.

It's not so much that Lush limits the stories as it is the readership limits them. The readership is overwhelmingly opposed to actual force, and not particularly keen on power dynamics, either. There are outliers, as there are with any kink, but in places where force and coercion are allowed, they don't perform well. The readership prefers the pure fantasy version which is either mutual lust, or even romance. Anything that begins to feel closer to harsh reality creeps them out, and they react accordingly. Some readers will even react harshly to things that would otherwise be perfectly fine with characters who aren't related. Facials, anal, gagging... There are people who find that extremely offensive when presented in an story. I've literally seen comments that say its disrespectful/cruel to treat your mother/sister that way. Having sex with her is fine. Blasting a load on her face is evil.

Being kink shamed for something else in response to an story is surreal to the extreme, but it's commonplace.

For some reason, the same doesn't hold true in video form. There's plenty of that out there, as opposed to a far smaller amount in written erotica, indicating that there's a demand for it in video form.

is creepy, illegal, and produces deformed children or other abnormalities. was the common practice of European royalty for centuries and is why royals often had low IQs, went insane, were physically deformed, and often infirm.

Most* Lush readers live in permissive societies (*huge generalisation, but hey!). What's left where there is a genuine 'forbidden fruit' element to provide sexual tension? Same sex? Cheating? Age-difference? The truth is that it's all a bit 'meh' these days. We know people who are actually engaged in this kind of activity; it's *all* 'normal' - there's no sexual kick. The law in most countries defines as illegal, so it is sexually rewarding as jerk-off material. That's what the stories are there for - to provide inspiration for better orgasms.

Well, not a bad relationship to have with a story, that.

Although, I'd be more circumspect saying it is exhaustively only this.

Further to my earlier comment and RejectReality’s comment.
In my experience with three incestuous couples that I have known, the intercourse was mutual and in a way loving. In no way was pressure used to coerce one or the other. The intercourse was mutually agreeable and conducted in a way that provided a pleasurable and enjoyable experience. Two were brother and sister.
In the other case a daughter (22) offered her father a relationship following the mothers death. It ceased by mutual consent when he remarried
I do not condone any coercion or pressure to engage in an incestuous relationship in any way.

freaks me out, even people calling their partners "Daddy" is a turn off for me.

As for the legality though, if there was a way to ensure that it wouldn't lead to offspring then I think two consenting relatives should be free to have sexual relations with each other. Having offspring with close relatives is what should be illegal, not the sex itself.

I am just a simple farm boy who does not understand . I've never read one of those stories and I never will.
