Most songs for me that get me all in the feels generally aren't songs that I choose for the lyrics but rather the weight that the music itself makes me feel.
Kyoto by Air is a good example of this, therr are no lyrics to the song, it is entirely instrumental but something about just feels heavy on my emotions when I hear it.
Roads untravelled by Linkin Park is another, it has lyrics and they are goof without being groundbreaking but the most emotional that song makes me is when the lead singer Chester starts to wind up and build towards the songs finale. The band uses his voice as the lead melody/harmony for the ending and it just gets to me as he builds to a crescendo.
