I liked that movie also, like an xxx rated Thelma and Louise.

Oh yes, both very enjoyable in their own way smile

There are so many and vary to what people define as romantic. Some of my favs are;

Serendipity. Not just cause the name is cool, blend of romance and funny
The Notebook. One of the best...
The time travelers wife. Good blend of romance and....well time travel is just cool.
Family man. Nicholas Cage, like his acting
You've got mail. Remember when Meg Ryan was the Rom Com go to Girl
An affair to remember. A classic
Sense and Sensibilty. Well done classic
Pride and Prejudice. As is this one
Letters to Juliet. The what if talk...
Notting Hill. There just something right about a Brit and an American in a romance.
The Vow. Cause it's based on true story and Rachel McAdams
Sleepless in Seattle. You got mail....in a different city.
Sabrina. The one with Harrison Ford
August Rush. Story and music
Roman Holiday
Lost in Tranlation Has it's moments
When Harry met Sally. Great soundtrack, good comedy and Meg Ryan being Meg Ryan...I'll have what she's having

Ones I considered romantic when I was younger. Haven't seen them in a long time to consider if they still rank high enough to be considered.

Top Gun
Nine and a half weeks
Officer and a Gentleman
Say Anything
Sound of Music

The list could go on....but enough for some of you to have some memories with and to check out ones you don't know...

I haven't seen too many romantic films and of the ones I've seen, didn't care for them. The ones that I did like however were pretty good.

A Little Romance...which was Dianne Lane's first film. She was a teenager then, but even so,she nailed this role perfectly. The supporting cast was also excellent.A movie that was both funny and romantic with a memorable score that I still very much enjoy listening to.

A Summer Story...British film about a man traveling through the country side who meets and falls in love with a woman living on a farm.Once again, good acting throughout, especially near the end years later when the man and the long time live in farmhand have a conversation about the woman he had fallen in love with.

Breakfast at Tiffanys.
As a whole,I'm not a fan of this movie. However, the ending sequence, starting with the cab ride and continuing to the end of the film was done extremely well along with Henry Mancini's memorable score. The first time I saw this film,I was still a child and wondered why my mother was crying during the ending scene.I was too young to understand and was only wondering why they were trying to crush the cat.Of course as I got older and became an adult,I could see it from a different perspective and understood why she was crying..."They're trying to crush that poor cat!!Waa!!"

City Lights
A silent romantic comedy as funny as it is touching; with Charlie Chaplin at his very best. Albert Einstein himself attended the premiere, so it must be pretty smart.
The Little Tramp (Chaplin) meets and falls in love with a poor blind girl, who mistakes him for a wealthy duke. She tells him that she needs an operation to restore her sight, so he sets out to earn the money doing various jobs, with comic consequences. The Little Tramp finally manages to raise the money, but his efforts get him arrested and thrown into prison. When he is released months later, the Tramp walks by a flower shop and sees the flower girl. Her sight is restored, but she does not recognise him.

Love Richard Curtis' writing and directing. It's a beautiful balance of comedy and romance.

I'd vote for Notting Hill. Hugh Grant is rather delicious in that one.
