The African Queen is my favorite romantic movie. Bogie played a guy named Charlie Allnut. That has to be one of the best tough guy character names of all time. I know it's kind of arguable whether The African Queen is really a romantic movie or action adventure. I don't care. To me it's a romantic movie.
My close runner up for favorite romantic movie is Roman Holiday. I also love most of the movie versions of Romeo and Juliet.

I love African Queen. A great novel too. C S Forrester at his very best.


For me it has to be Pride and Prejudice.....that last scene (British version) is about as romantic as it gets.
