In the nicest possible sense...can I request not, please. Partly because I'm happy with them as they are in there natural state (I rarely do anything more than gentle tweaking in photoshop)...and partly because I'm not sure that I like the idea of someone having one of my photos up in an editing program!

I know how people are with their photos, its why I asked and I totally understand your response..its all god...

How do you do the fake tilt shift effect? I love it! It makes Circular Quay look like it's made out of lego!

I will see what I can dig out of my archives, when I find my exterior hard drive.

Nic, tilt shift is usually done with a lens that, get this, tilts. It blurs the top and bottom of the frame giving it that tiny feel. But it fails if something on the focal plane goes out of the top of the frame. It should be in focus the whole way up. I just used the blur tool in an editing program and controlled its strength. Big blur for things in the far distance, and adjusted it as things for closer to my focal point. Its time consuming, but the effect is far better.

This is taken with a newer camera model (Canon's 60D as opposed to my 400D)...although I don't find an awful lot of different in the image quality between these cameras I do find mine is lacking when it comes to the close ups..

My great grandmother's engagement and wedding ring.

Really great shot there.

Was just messing around one day taking some different shots of my bike. Yep a cheap as hell no controls point and shoot digi. Not photoshopped either though I do use it at times to do some minor tweaking. I'm one I prefer to leave them alone.

This I was pleasantly surprised by. Was taken just shy of 8 in the morning came around the corner and was greeted with this pretty much first light of the day. This shot is untouched to

Thank you. It always brings a smile to my face. My great grandma was a lovely lady that lived an (extremely!!!!) long life, when she died she left me all her jewellery....I hope these two rings get to mean 'i love you' again at some point.

This one isn't really anything special... but it has a place in my heart due to being the first photo I ever took with my dear Canon (4 and a half years ago, I believe).

Just to clarify it's absolutely nothing personal

You know how it is, we all have different styles....and we all get a bit over attached to our photographic babies

Statue of Duke, Huntington Beach, CA (taken yesterday)
This is one of my favourite photos of my own. Taken in Oxford - autumn 2010. It was a really beautiful evening and, as you can see, all the autumn colours were out. 100% unedited... this is just how vibrant the trees were.

I actually have this one blown up on a canvas in my bedroom... I think it's nice to wake up and look at a happy, beautiful memory (oh I know, what a load of tosh I spout!!).

You dont have a back up unless you have 3 copies...one of which is separate location from the other backups...I got it sorted now..
I keep one of those hard drives in the fire proof safe bolted to the floor biggrin
Im not paranoid much!!

Horrible! I lost mine when our dear iMac gave up the ghost on iTunes and iPhoto, so I now don't have any of my photos from before summer 2010 unless I had them stored full size elsewhere.

Actually, I haven't backed my laptop up for over a year due to being too skint to buy a proper external drive for it - gah! Going to turn a blind eye to my bank balance this week and buy one though as I couldn't bear to lose all my recent photos.
They are so cheap anyway Bambi..its well worth it.

I used extension tubes on my 70-300mm lens to get that macro effect.

Nothing is cheap when you're a student!! Mind you, I finished my course yesterday so I officially can't use that excuse anymore better get online shopping for one then!

I like this bridge one...

Taken with a 30yo 50mm prime lens at f1.7 that uses the same mount as my DSLR. Love the depth of field that lens gets

I don't do photography myself, but I have a lot of photographers for friends, all from university. This one photograph got me the most, though all of them are beautifully composed and captured, I couldn't figure out what the white substance is--snow, salt, foam? Do tell, it'll nag me for ages. And I could've definitely gone without seeing the bug.. even close up and detailed they give me the creeps!

A little giraffe made from the wire cage off a champagne bottle (I believe this is called the muselet??)...my family is obsessed with making things out of these and, as a result, our house is littered with little wire figures....giraffes seem to be everyone's favourite.
