a friend was bugging us about watching his special for months and finally, it was on one night and we thought 'ok, sure, why not? i'm not really a fan of stand up, honestly, but THIS was really amazing - funny, thoughtful, cringeworthy at times. seriously, i'm a fan now. that all said, NO one is better than Eddie Izzard. I love Eddie Izzard!! My sister and I met him after a gig a few years ago and he was so nice to not just us, but everyone who'd waited to speak to him after the show. Such a lovely man!!

Jimmy Carr is really funny, very fast with his quips and puns...



Among my other favourites are: Dylan Moran, Billy Connolly, Bill Hicks, Dennis Leary, Chris Rock, Craig Ferguson, Dave Allen, Bill Bailey (he's totally genius!)

Comedians in the traditional stand up comic sense don't appeal to me and most of the people such as Bill Cosby or Robin Williams quoted above are more like funny people rather than comdedians even Billy Connoly and Ieddie Izzard who I do like are like that. Perhaps that is the current trend.
