You were doing so well until you put Billy Joe Armstrong into the pantheon of guitaring legends!
IMO he isn't fit to even be in the same thread as the likes of Zakk Wylde, Rhodes, Hendrix. But each to their own!
My favourites aside some already mentioned are :-
Frank Zappa
Devin Townsend
Joe Satriani
Steve Vai
Tom Morello
Jim Heath (incredibly underrated)
There are so many worthy to mention that I can't think of them all off the top of my head and it's a crying shame.
for me,its a tie between Richie Sambora (Dry County solo) and Slash (Novemer Rain solo)
Randy Rhodes, my friend. Crazy Train..........
Eric Clapton & Chuck Berry neck and neck for me.
There are so, so many.
I can't disagree with any of those already listed but I would add Jimmy Paige because of raw talent and David Howell Evans(The Edge) because of because of genius creativity.
Stevie Ray Vaughn, may he rest in peace.
Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eddie Van Helen, Eric Clapton
