I close the bedroom window just as my daughter bounds into the room.
"Hey mom, s'up?"
"Ah... nothing. Was going to grab a quick shower," pulling my robe closed before turning. "You?"
"Supposed to be tutoring another college jock. Tapped him I was gonna be late, but got nothing back. Guess he-- wait, there's the door."
Downstairs, I pass Amy as she heads for the kitchen.
"His name's Jamar, mom."
The tall, bronze Adonis stands, his face dancing with a broad smirk.
"Nice to meet you, young man," I offer loudly, handing him the watch he'd left on my nightstand.
