The dark room flickered with light from the computer screen. I stripped from the waist down, just like she told me to do. 

She started with my feet, gliding her smooth fingers along my arches. Her hands gripped my ankles and squeezed. I met her eyes, smiled, and she smiled back as she lubed up the wand. 

“Hold still.” 

An uneven exhale escaped my lips as a snail’s trail of warm lube slid up my calf, in the shallow behind my knee, to my inner thigh.  

“Your veins look good. See you next year for your annual ultrasound.”
