When sunlight bursts across the page
and darkness is assuaged
The colours that she brings to me
Brings radiance to my grey
The humdrum life of day to day
Is transformed by her touch
Her kisses as they smother me
They mean to me so much
She paints her pictures On my heart
I’m gilded by her tongue
Each movement of her lips on me
Calls forth a mighty song
Enraptured by her presence now
I cannot be the same
Washed by her vivid vibrancy
My body all aflame
