'Twas the night after Christmas

and search as I may

I can't find my heart

That broke Christmas day

I shopped for the kit

That mends broken hearts

The love all fell out

But I found all the parts

I put them together, precisely, with care

In hopes that some love would still be found there

So I made the last stitch

And a few minor tweaks

I pumped it a bit

And checked it for leaks

I then searched for love

To fill what was lost

I searched high and low

No matter the cost

But love, I found none

I searched through and through

My heart pumped, void of love

Until I met you

Now it’s all fixed and pumping

Full of passion and love

Now 'tis the night before Christmas

And what a difference a year makes
