My whole life has been in search of the words
We have all heard them
We have all felt them
They warm us, drive us, provide for us

Pleasure and pain can be found in the words
The peaks and valleys of life are filled by them
We journey to the end of the earth because of them
They push us, pull us, elude us

I thought the words were, "I love you"
I sought them out
I fought them out
Those words were like sand through my fingers

I rushed and gushed to say I love you
I pulled them out
I pushed them out
The bad taste of those words lingers

There is a discovery that is made
Those are not words that bind us
Those are not the words that find us
The realization has me floored

There is a an impression on me made
Those are not the words that combine us
Those are not the words that move us
In me it struck a cord

You are mine are the words my heart longs for
They push me
They move me
You are mine has accomplished a great feat

Through him I found the words my soul sings for
They connect me
They bind me
You are mine are the words that make my life complete
