Last night I awoke, enshrouded
within cedar and pine,
burnt and smoky,
covered with
soot and
ashes.
Wiped the dust out of my eyes,
and found stuck in it a grain
of icy moonlight. The only
light that shone, gone in
a tragic moment, and
a comedic error.
The wood, the trees, cracking, crashing, the forest
was snapping, twisting, breaking and bending.
I was bleeding. Even perfectly still, things
were hazy, warm, and blending. A bang,
a light, and a thousand tiny lashes.
It was dark, and the air hung
thick and heavy and loud,
like black tears amid a
fog of night, frozen
in an instant of
pure terror.
Swiping madly, casting caution aside
I thrashed up and down,
enjoyed in ropes,
restraints,
of lace.
There you found me, locked up,
tied and bound, encased
and there you knelt,
toying erotically
with my love,
my hopes.
Don't hurry, it's not a race.
Hurry, I'm terrified.
Don't rush.
I'm not...
afraid.
Woke up this morning, the sky was on fire.
I wiped the dust from my eyes today,
Just like any scarlet dawn, seeing
you sadly through the
lingering sunprints
on my eyes,
as you
fade.
Cobwebs which filled the shadowy space
that once was glowing mind,
lit bright by thought, and
the music of dance, and
tongue, lute and lyre
once again
take hold, clouding
consciousness, obscuring
mind. Alone, away, insane,
unknown. Adrenaline unending,
rested in the loving and created in the
waking. I am alone. Every day without her,
without you, without him, without me, without I,
whatever I may find in the dust - the dust in my eyes.
