This is a happy poem,
Because I'd rather be happy than sad,
Rather smile than be mad.
I prefer the sun to the rain,
To bask in pleasure,
Rather than drown in pain.
Try to steal my joy and you will always fail,
My heart is ever strong and always will prevail.
You will never see my ruin,
Though try you might, you crazy fool.
I'd rather be odd, than plain,
Misunderstood than mundane.
I may not make you comfortable
But I choose crazy over sane.
I cannot conform,
An outlier from the norm.
Rebellious to my bones,
Choosing not to be a clone.
I care not if you like me,
Your comfort is your own.
I'm deeply, madly me,
Flying, falling, free.
Where I fall or fly,
Is only up to me.
I am made of stardust,
Guess what, so are you.
Let others sparkle,
And you will sparkle too.
Because I'd rather be happy than sad,
Rather smile than be mad.
I prefer the sun to the rain,
To bask in pleasure,
Rather than drown in pain.
Try to steal my joy and you will always fail,
My heart is ever strong and always will prevail.
You will never see my ruin,
Though try you might, you crazy fool.
I'd rather be odd, than plain,
Misunderstood than mundane.
I may not make you comfortable
But I choose crazy over sane.
I cannot conform,
An outlier from the norm.
Rebellious to my bones,
Choosing not to be a clone.
I care not if you like me,
Your comfort is your own.
I'm deeply, madly me,
Flying, falling, free.
Where I fall or fly,
Is only up to me.
I am made of stardust,
Guess what, so are you.
Let others sparkle,
And you will sparkle too.
