Morning,
She’s dancing still,
In a black dress,
An empty stage,
Silver bangles and that cool grace,
That red smile, that shape.
One kiss and I could die happy,
Everybody wants to die happy,
And go down,
And be living still.
A smooth glass in her silk glove,
We live once she says,
We must know love and laughter.
Each new day is beautiful.
Suddenly morning and no sleep,
She’s dancing still,
And I sit back and smile.
Eternity is like this,
Unending.
We share one life made of these moments,
They fill our minds like diamonds.
I will see her dancing forever,
Eternity is like this I guess,
Caught in the view of a broken clock,
Unending.
Our friends return,
Beside us they all talk,
Of last night romances,
Of love,
Of promises,
Of shared lives.
We share this life,
We share roses,
We share poems written in the morning sky,
We break each other’s hearts,
We reach the end,
Then turn and start again,
The morning is warm and bright,
But we tire without sleep.
She’s dancing still but closer now,
We live once,
We cling to the roses and the poems,
Without these we are lost and old.
Today we are alive,
Old beliefs are the most perfect,
I will always love her,
Tomorrow I will love her more.
The spell is cast,
Where will I find her?
Where will we die?
When will I be her be me?
More questions.
She laughs at tales of perfect lives and lines and curves,
She leans into me,
She can feel that I am not perfect and loves me still,
She drains her glass and smiles.
I could die here,
I have everything I need,
I could freeze this frame of life and it would be enough.
Again and again,
That red smile,
That shape,
That cool grace.
I see Heaven in her eyes,
Heat radiates through thin shades,
Red shadows on her bronze skin.
Beads of the night remain,
Our love,
White pearls.
The road calls,
Sleep calls,
Return to truth,
Sunlight visions are rare.
Reality.
Our life is a dream,
Our road is strewn with roses and pearls,
We have made two roads one.
She’s dancing still,
In a black dress,
An empty stage,
Silver bangles and that cool grace,
That red smile, that shape.
One kiss and I could die happy,
Everybody wants to die happy,
And go down,
