As I sit here on my deck
The sky is blue, the sun warm
A light breeze is blowing
I hear the trickle of a water fountain
Birds are singing
Yet nothing compares to the wonder of your smile
The roses are in full bloom
There colours a myriad of different hues
Each petal a treasure of nature
There shape and feel distinct and rich
Yet nothing compares to the wonder of your form
The honeysuckle,
her lips opening
Quivering in the breeze
Her powerful scent pervades the morning air
Yet nothing compares to your own quivering scent
People wonder why I enjoy my garden
It’s simple
For everything here, reminds me of you
