Like a wounded animal
Limping through the dense forest
I search for somewhere to fall down
To rest my weary soul, and painful heart
This once proud Lion that roared
Becomes a gentle animal that whimpers
Suffering in silence
From pain I brought upon you
Watching the suffering I caused
From my own unforgiving reasons
For my own cruel actions
Of acceptance in this world
Thoughts never crossed my mind
As I watched the anger rise inside of you
The tears you cried
Matched by my own, of sadness burning within
Words spoken
Can never be taken back
We can never be the same again
Our lives shall forever change
A loving understanding fades away
An undying friendship, drifted out to sea
Lost in the oceans so vast
Swallowed whole, to the ocean bed
It pains me so much
To watch my betrayal upon you
My heart shatters
Into a million pieces
At times, I feel this is why I was born
To make others understand the word
But hate is more than a word
It's an unforgiving connection severed
Two people lost in the wilderness
Separated by wooden blockades
No light to guide us back
No string to follow, to find one another again
This is my undoing
My sacrifice I must now make
It is not the first, but it may be the last
Watching others cry in pain is unbearable
So once more
I find myself a corner in my room
Where I sit, alone, and hide
Away from the world outside
Away from the pain I not only feel from others
But the stabbing thrusts
I portray upon those close to me
For friendship and love with me is like death
It blackens your heart
It curses you to feel hate
Upon the one who brought it to you
The bubble I live within, that brings me shame
Darkness shall forever be my friend
Hell is where I will find myself one day
The Devil's smile, crack of his tail to gather me up
To drag me to the depths down below
But until that day comes before me
I sit, pray, cry, and seek forgiveness
For actions that are unthinkable
The pain I brought upon you
Sorry is a word I use too often
Upon those I hold dear in my heart
In hope of their understanding
It's the hardest thing I'll ever say
It's a word I mean with honesty
One of few I speak with sincerity
Praying one day you forgive me
Until then, I shall remain in hope....
Limping through the dense forest
I search for somewhere to fall down
To rest my weary soul, and painful heart
