Writing poetry to you
Was once so easy
The words poured out
Nearly effortlessly
Now I struggle for words
To adequately explain
The depth of emotions
That I feel for you
You have become
my home
You fill my world
with beauty
Before we became a we
I had a house of my own
Filled with laughter
And never-ending noise
But as the days passed by
My loneliness echoed
Loud even in busy moments
Refusing to be ignored
Reminding me I was alone
With time I came to learn
A house isn't always home
You have become
my home
You fill my world
with beauty
Together hand in hand
We write our story
Even when our house
Is still and quiet
I feel you next to me
You wrap me in love
Keeping me warm
I need nothing else
For you have become
My Home
