Galway land of Mountains lakes and rushing rivers
How beautiful it was at Errisbeg
A big old crumbling house beside the sea
Just my love and me
Alone - In ecstasy
I held her in my arms –
So very close and tenderly
Looked deep into her smiling eyes
Made love to her - so very beautiful
So very beautiful she was
We bathed together deep in suds
Bottom to bottom our legs entwined
I rest my head against the taps
And gaze at her in wonderment
So much beauty - such intimacy exposed
Despite a raging Atlantic storm
We walk together along the granite shore
In search of sculptural driftwood
Squalls of rain biting our faces
And making them glow
Returning to the crumbling house
Change wet clothed for dry
Go into the cosy kitchen
Light a fire - boil a kettle
And make toast for tea
