During the holidays I wonder
What a life would be with you
If you were my only lover
I know our love would be true

Our days would be quite full
I'd listen to you reading poetry
You'd wear a sweater made of wool
Perhaps we'd be putting away groceries

We'd drink our drinks by a fire
Share a laugh or two
In that moment you'd be all I desired
Perhaps we'd even eat some fondue

I dream of our house by the sea
We both wouldn't be sad any more
A life with just you and me
Our love would be quite adored

It doesn't seem quite fair
Why couldn't we have met
We'd make an amazing pair
We connected on the internet

Not sure if we will ever meet
Although I think about you often
I do think you're very sweet
I know a life with you would be awesome

Just know you're in my dreams
I always think about what could be
These thoughts make me beam
I know you would agree

Then reality sets in
I remember I'm a wife
There goes that sad violin
I realize this isn't my life.
