The devil comes knocking at my door,
Asking me to dance.
Let's go dancing in the cemetery,
Like we did in days past.
Stumbling out of the front door
Hand in hand we waltz down to the gates,
A soft kiss; planted on my cheek;
My soul now in the balance of fates.
Holding the ice cold steel in my hand
I gaze into dances of once before,
Grasping air in the other
In the gaze of the lovely whore.
The doors swing open;
With a twirl I enter into my dreams
Meeting you hand in hand
We keep spinning amongst the children’s screams.
A spin a turn a whisk and a change
We fade into joy,
Her face as beautiful as
The gaze of the moon over Troy,
Pale blue eyes
illuminating my soul,
In her I still live
as an innocent fool.
Our feet stepping together
Inbetween tombs of lives
We move closer our lips embracing
Hearing the cries
I gaze once more into her eyes
And then close mine,
The girl disappears into the skies;
Leaving behind her shrine.
Asking me to dance.
Let's go dancing in the cemetery,
Like we did in days past.
Stumbling out of the front door
Hand in hand we waltz down to the gates,
A soft kiss; planted on my cheek;
My soul now in the balance of fates.
