I was going through another mundane day at work. I am a pharmacy technician at a big international drugstore chain. She was in my line, the next person I was going to help. When I noticed she was wearing bicycle shorts, she got my attention.
Perhaps I should tell you a little about myself. I am 5'6" tall, weigh about 160. I have brown eyes, and I will admit, my hair is just starting to turn salt and pepper at 48 (but don't tell anyone). I like to consider myself still handsome enough to get a glint in a woman's eye.
She was about 5 foot 4 inches tall. She was petite and very athletic. I could tell she enjoyed running as a hobby when I noticed her calf muscles in the biker shorts.
I finished with the customer ahead of her.
"May I help the next customer?" I inquired to the forming crowd, but really I was looking directly at her eyes. She knew who I wanted to help. She wanted my help, so she walked to my counter.
"Hello, how may I help you?" I asked.
"Hi, my name is Kelly. I have a couple of prescriptions to pick up," she said.
I looked in the computer under her name. It was true, she had two prescriptions to pick up. As I was looking at the computer to find the correct bin where I would find the prescriptions, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. She just swayed back and forth as she stood at the counter. That was when I saw it. Kelly, along with the bicycle shorts, was wearing a burgundy coat and a burgundy see-through blouse. The blouse had lace in all the right places to make it just decent enough to be in public. I could plainly see that she was not wearing a bra.
"Let me get those prescriptions for you. I will be right back." I smiled politely at her.
I retrieved the prescriptions from the appropriate bin. Nothing new, just some birth control pills and a water pill.
"OK, Kelly, I have two prescriptions here for you. Could I please get your address?"
"Sure, it’s 1437 Westwood Lane."
"Thank you, Kelly."
I scanned the first bar code and asked, "Could I please get the last 4 digits of your phone number?"
I watched as she typed in the last 4 digits of her phone number and then her full phone number to get her rewards for getting her prescriptions filled at the pharmacy.
