Good news, Kat!
And Bear has entered the SS comp! I won’t give away any spoilers. Just read it. 😈

That is good news given what we keep hearing up here about Trump and Musk gutting the government.
Ugh! 😩 trust me. I’ve been on pins and needles hoping our claim would be accepted before there is no more FEMA. 😢
I wish people could see all the harm that T&M are doing with their rash decision making. I hope that people who are being affected by the gutting measures are starting to realize neither of those wealthy men have the general population’s best interests in mind. (Aka they don’t give a flying fuck about who they hurt with their stupidity).
Okay I think I need a drink now. Lol. Pink Moscato please! 🍷❤️
I do NOT miss the snow. My son's area had a snow day on Thursday, so they took the kids sledding. The boys had a great time, but my granddaughter wasn't having it. LOL. She takes after me. I don't do snow stuff.
The past two days have been sunny after a day of total fog here on Thursday. The concrete workers have been busy redoing our pool deck area so that the surface is level. Nice to see progress.
And speaking of progress, FEMA finally came through! We'd just about given up hope of receiving anything at all. It was a lovely surprise yesterday to get our notification letter. It wasn't the full amount, but it was enough to be helpful.
Off to swim at the pool two doors down this morning. Then we will be beaching it this afternoon. Happy Saturday, all y'all!
Sneaks in for a hot minute before I head to the gym. Hey Bear, hope you enjoyed the delightful weather down here yesterday. Not a cloud in the sky! My sister said it was supposed to snow 5-7 inches up where she is in Michigan. 🙀
Grabs a day old donut and scuttles off to put on my workout gear. 😉
Welcome to Sun country, Bear! I’m sure it got a little warm yesterday with all that fur. 😉
We tend to be about 5-8 degrees cooler being directly on the water, but it was indeed a lovely day yesterday. I did some writing outside.
I will start my morning with some tea. Looks like it will be nice enough to take my brother to the pool two doors down. He’s happy. Me too!
Happy Hump Day all y’all.
I just submitted Part Two of my new series, Another Man's Wife.
Here's Part One if you missed it: Another Man's Wife - Sam and the Redheaded MILF Part One
A frustrated teacher cheats on his wife with his sexy co-worker
CheatingMorning Rumpies!
I’ll grab some Earl Grey with lemon.
Hands down my favorite ad was watching Eugene Levy’s eyebrows fly around. I’m wondering how Little Caesar’s felt when the Pringles commercial had Nick Offerman’s (and others) mustaches flying around. Which was also funny but seemed like a bit of a rip off. Not sure which came first.
Great game. The Eagles played better football. They deserved to win. During the halftime show, my husband said, “I don’t recognize any of these songs, but Kendrick Lamar is definitely entertaining.” He was right. I enjoyed the visual spectacle of the dancers.
I’m off to the dentist today for a cleaning. Not my favorite thing to do, but better than the mammogram I need to schedule. LOL!
Have a great Monday, all y’all.

It has eight where I come from, but that's the Atlantic ocean for you!😇
Thanks! This made me giggle!
Hubby and I spent a lovely afternoon on the beach. Talk about medicine for the soul!
I've made arrangements with the condo two doors down to allow me to bring my brother to their pool to swim tomorrow afternoon. I haven't told him yet JUST IN CASE something happens that prevents us from being able to go. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.
I'd love a Moscato, but I'll take another Coke Zero. 😊

Especially when it lacks proper dialogue formatting and violates a rule ever third or fourth paragraph 🙄😠 (yeah, I been there, done that).
YUP!
Sometimes, it's just a lack of knowledge of grammar rules, and I don't mind working with an author to figure out how to fix the mistakes. It only becomes disheartening when they don't carry over skills learned to the next story. 🙄

You lost me at 'Authors don't like my feedback on how to fix things,' but then I remembered I'm not an author; I just write stuff, which must explain why I'm so grateful for it all.
Clever reply! If you write stuff here, you’re an author. And most of the authors whose stories I mod are very kind and grateful for my help. But every once in a while, ya get one that thinks I’m being too picky and throws a little negativity my way. 🤨
As an author here, I find that more people will read my stories if they are shorter. So, I keep the stand-alone stories shorter and break the longer ones down into chapters.
As a story moderator, I sigh out loud when I have to mod a 10K story. It's just a lot to look at in one sitting.

Bear and his Lady will appreciate that. Was definitely a bit chilly (for Florida) when I was there last month
Last month was awful weather-wise here. Florida is not supposed to have multiple days of 40-degree F weather. 😳😕
It should be a lovely visit for Bear and Lady Jay!
Sadly, now that our weather is nice again, the pool opening keeps getting delayed. I'm looking at March 3 now. 😢 I see people getting in the Gulf, but it's a bit chilly for me quite yet. I may put my feet in this afternoon—might even go in up to my knees—but that's about it for me this time of year.
Modding is thirsty work...especially when authors don't like my feedback on how to fix things. I'll have a Coke Zero please, and thanks!
What could be hotter than two teachers misbehaving in a classroom? When one of them is a cheating spouse, and the other is a redheaded MILF.
Please enjoy: Another Man's Wife - Sam and the Redheaded MILF Part One

CheatingGood morning, all y'all! I'll have some tea with lemon, please, and thanks.
The AC guys were here until 11 pm and our new AC unit still is not cooling. Sighs...
But my boots for tonight's charity event showed up yesterday instead of tomorrow (they were supposed to arrive on Wednesday but were delayed in transit). So, at least I don't have to run out today to find a pair to wear. It's a Western-themed event, and I am working registration.
Happy Saturday!

Morning all, coffee for me please.
I do have something I'm tinkering with for the Comp, not sure I'll have something I like enough to submit but I do like my scenario. Can a poem have a scenario?
Kat: That's a ridiculous amount of bad luck, you should buy a lottery ticket; surely you are due.
We don't have that much snow so far, one can easily walk through the forest without snowshoes.
Happy Friday!
2025 was supposed to be my year. LOL. None of this bad luck is life or death, but seriously, can a girl catch a break?
Popping in for a Coke Zero, please and thank you. Modding is thirsty work.
Now I'm off to read more comp poems.
TGIF 😎

Congratulations on your 22nd famous story. That is quite an accomplishment. I have 3, with a 4th one under 500 views to cross that line. I've been here since 2008, but most of my stories were written in 2019 and beyond. Although one of the older stories is past 50K, I doubt I will make legendary any time soon.
Congrats to Kistin too!
That 4th story crossed over the famous line when I wasn't looking.
Now, I have two more that are "almost famous," and seeing them make the mark would be a thrill!
The Office Whore - Part 2 from 2019 and Training the MILF from 2020 are two stories I really enjoyed writing. I'm hoping to see either or both with that coveted star soon!
Reina's job continues to get more interesting...
Office SexWait! I've had a crappy couple of days. May I please have some Thor attention too? And yummy drippy donuts. NOM NOM NOM!
A pipe in the wall behind my fridge had several leaks. Guy had to cut open my wall and shut off my water while he did the repair. Except he shut off the water and then realized he didn't have the right parts on his truck and had to go get them and come back. WAH!
My AC stopped working a couple of days ago. Seems the guys that were fixing something on the roof effed up 8 AC units (one being mine). We could pay $2K and get it fixed (and hopefully get reimbursed by the company that effed up. OR we can get a new unit for $7500 and hope to still get $2K towards it. Our AC unit is 10 years old. We decided to go with the new one.
AND, I got a bill from my ENT saying I owed another $900 for my sinus surgery. It turned out to be wrong, but I still somehow still owe $400. Insurance is black magic.
Let's add in that I was supposed to get my nasal solution with the antibiotics and steroid this week so I could hopefully get rid of the sinus infection that the surgery didn't fix. BUT they never sent it because my ENT office gave them my phone number with a wrong digit and neglected to give them my birthdate. So, I had to pay for express shipping since my right sinus cavity is still gross.
My son recently lost his job and we are helping them financially until he can secure new employment. Can't have my grandkids suffering because someone decided to make a scapegoat of their dad.
What else...OH, our pool had more pipe leaks and they can't come out to fix those until next week. THEN they can start circulating the water for 14 days. Looking at early March now before our pool is usable. 🙁
Don't even get me started on the cluster bleep that is our newsfeed these days. Just when I think it can't get worse, it does. 😢
So, on second thought, I'll be taking Thor and a whole handful of donuts into the storage space to drown my troubles. We'll be a while...
Awww Bear! I think you’re lots of fun! Come on down to the beach and I’ll prove it to ya! Or, um, well, at least I can pretend to be a long lost someone. Lol!
I can’t watch the news. I read snippets of it online because I need to know what’s going on. But I prefer to get my news without bias. I subscribe to a newsletter called 1440. Just News. It’s still scary AF to see what’s happening in our country, but it requires less Xanax.
Sadly, I think most of the family I had left in Canada has passed away. I imagine I have cousins there somewhere, but I’m not sure I’d know how to find them. After my Aunt Beatrice died, I lost track of anyone else up there. (I also lost my ability to write fluently in French). 🙁
I’m off to take my brother to the eye doctor this morning . Then I have a telehealth appointment this afternoon.
Stay strong, my fellow Americans. I have to be careful what I say because I don’t want anything to risk my youngest’s Sec. clearance. You just can’t be too careful these days. 😳😠
Here is one from my archives that I shared on my wall. One of my first Love Poems that I shared on Lush back in 2008. Please take a look: Home
Hopes and dreams...
Love PoemsCanadians are so nice that even their groundhogs say sorry. I love it! When my daughter was a competitive dancer (training preprofessional), a group from Canada came to many of the same comps as we lived in Michigan at the time. They ALWAYS won the Spirit Award at every comp for being the nicest studio.
It's hubby's birthday weekend, so we are off to Disney this afternoon. We will enjoy the hotel pool today and see some fireworks. Then tomorrow, it's Epcot!
I'll have a Coke Zero this morning, please, and thanks, plenty of ice. Modding is thirsty work.

'bout time we brought some nice Canadian boys into the mix for those of you who might like that kinda thing.
Can I have a root beer float please? With vanilla ice cream? Preferably Haagen Dazs.
I'll have a half dozen of the Canadian boy toys and a root beer float as well. YUM!
