Hello everyone, greetings. I've read quite a few of the stories submitted for the contest, and honestly, I wouldn't want to be in the judges' shoes; there's a genuine display of talent. Some of these narratives inspired me to jot down notes to refine my own technique. I wish all the participants the very best; I know each one of you put your heart and soul into your work😊

Lights are on, Lady Dryad has cleaned up and we’re ready to go.

Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Red Rose and Earl Grey teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.

Big Bertha has been cleaned up, rinsed, and refilled, and is now perkin' away.

Today we're using Loon Call Breakfast Blend coffee beans from Muskoka Coffee Roasters, particularly appropriate given the loonies around this joint!

And there are donuts.

Plus I've got some buttercream cuppycakes for them what likes 'em.

I'll see if I can't rustle up a tune or two in a minute.

It has a plot (sometimes in multiple dimensions), x's and 0's, and adds clarity to the world!

Leave us Math nerds alone, OK? Go pick on the poetry people.

I really struggled to graduate as an engineer; the math was awful and torturous.😨

The judge knew what a grimoire was (I had to google) and loved idea of being trapped in a book, and the librarian having been there before. He said this one should be developed out into a full story to tell more of the story of the librarian and what’s it’s like inside the book. Congratulations, Shabari.

Thank you, I'll take that into account. It's a legend about a horrible book that was in my university. Nobody dared to open it because it was believed to be a grimoire. I opened it and it turned out to be worse. It was a math book (true anecdote)

On Halloween morning, in an ancient library, a grimoire opens by itself. A curious reader whispers "Inlustris daemon, veni ad me" summoning a lust demon. Their bodies intertwine, their moans and gasps echoing. The librarian, knowing the ritual, closes the book, trapping her cries for "more" within its pages. The librarian smiles, reminiscing about her own journey through that unimaginable world of pleasure now being experienced by the reader.

Hi there😀, I recently discovered this place, and it seems perfect for publishing my stories. I know that the review work is done by volunteers, and I understand it's not easy. I sent my first chapter a few days ago, and I'm not sure if I did it right. I sent it from my cell phone, and maybe I missed something. I just want to know if I did something wrong, or perhaps I went over the word count.😊
