Numero Cuatro:
*Can't* Take *It* With You -- Alan Parsons Project.
Disclaimer: I'm not a physician and I don't play one on TV and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
I've never heard of such a procedure. The human vagina is short enough that the cervix is pretty easily checked with a finger or two. In fact, that's routinely done in the labor suite to check on cervical dilation. I would suppose that it might be possible that in a case of a prolapsed umbilical cord that an OB-GYN or someone might shove a hand up there to keep the baby's head from crushing the cord between it and the pelvic bones. That would hold pending rapid arrival in an OR for an emergency caesarian section.
With all that said, a baby's head is much bigger than most men's hands and the vagina accommodates them just fine.
