Sweaters and hoodies from past boyfriends, but can you blame me? They're comfortable, haha!

... Although I've always given them back when I break up with them, so does that still count?

I tend to attract guys who are a little on the "nerdy" side... not that I mind, because it makes for great conversation with (usually) a nice guy, whether or not I reciprocate their feelings or not.

Also, older men apparently. Personally, I don't go for younger guys, but I prefer men who are around the same age as I am (so of equal age to maximum four or five years older than me)

People who think they're above everyone else and are incredibly obnoxious about it, people who walk really slowly in front of me (bonus points if they have other people with them, and block the way to get ahead of them), shitty design, and people who half-ass things

Pretty much, yeah. I've done everything I expected I would have done up for the most part until this point. There's still a lot ahead for me and so much more to do, so we'll see how that works out. Maybe things will take a different route, and maybe they won't. Expectations will change.

Is The Stranger the same as The Outsider? I have that ordered behind Cold Comfort Farm, The Bell Jar, The Girls of Slender Means, and The Rector's Daughter. I can't recommend them obvs, because I HAVEN'T READ THEM YET. I'm still reading Wuthering Heights (I know I'm the last person in the world to read it. Don't tell me what happens. Explosions, I bet.)

I'm not sure why I ordered that Albert Camus story. Was it because I read a recommendation somewhere? Did I read your post and add it?

Yeah, The Stranger and The Outsider are the same; the french name is "L'étranger" which can translate to both depending on the context. It's just more commonly known as The Stranger, I think. I wouldn't be surprised if you've gotten a recommendation somewhere, haha. I just finished reading it and I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the ending, wow.

My friends have highly recommended The Bell Jar to me, maybe I should read that soon :')

If I had all the available resources and all the money necessary, ideally I would spend some time to travel around the world and just see what's out there. There's so much out there to explore, and it would be a privilege to just be able to see more of it than I currently do. Perhaps I'll fall in love with cities I've never yet been to. Alternatively, or additionally, I would want to participate in some humanitarian aid missions. I'd want to be able to a charity organization that is actually transparent, and create a system that actually works and improves the lives of others, since in my experience, many charities are not as responsible or giving as they're often reputed to be. Not sure exactly how such a "system" would work logistically, but I've got time to figure it out. After that, if I'm satisfied, I'd like to settle down.
In terms of settling down, as of right now, I would love to be able to buy a simple but open loft apartment in New York City or San Francisco and live comfortably in such a space that of course, where the interior is designed completely by me. In addition, despite having the money, as a career-oriented individual I'd still like to have a job as a web developer, or a different job that could make use of a degree in computer engineering. Perhaps a bit simplistic or very generic, but a steady career with a back up plan and a comfortable place to live would make me happy. I'd love to expand and add to my collections of books, perhaps build a large wall-to-wall shelf for it.

As for the second part, what's stopping me from achieving my dreams? Not too much, it's in the plan. It's not a particularly unrealistic one, though perhaps idealistic. Maybe the order will be mixed up though, lol. I'd probably have to take quite a few jobs in Canada first and save up money for until I can move to my dream city and establish a career there, and a loft apartment to go with it. Glossing over a lot of stuff; I know, it won't be that simple, but I think it's achievable. Afterwards comes all the traveling and humanitarian aid stuff.

TL;DR: A spacious loft apartment in New York City or San Fran, with a career in web developing and a huge library + travelling the world

I'm almost done reading The Stranger by Albert Camus; it's such a fascinating read, it leaves me such a daze whenever I'm reading. It's quite a short book, but a must-read, in my opinion. Love the philosophical themes present. I'm hoping to read the original french version once I'm done with the english-translated version; in my experience, there are usually a lot of minor differences in translations that can really make a huge difference in the readers perception of the story.

Camus is so underappreciated these days. I read "The Myth of Sisyphus" recently; it completely blew my mind. Anyways, forgive my fangirling over Camus, haha!

I have a couple ideas for what I want to read next (Timothy Findley's "The Wars," or perhaps another Camus novel, like "The Plague" or "A Happy Death") but if you've any suggestions that you'd think I like, I'd be happy to hear them.
