My fav book right now is an obscure Sinclair Lewis novel “It can’t happen here.” It is a description of how a tyrant takes over which is disgusting similar to what is currently going on in the US.

Favorite Music
I am entranced by the energy and hope of the 1960s. The poetry of Bob Dylan (Blowing in the Wind), Joan Baez (500 Miles) and Warren Zevon (Send Lawyers Guns and Money). The energy and introspection of the Beatles (Elenor Rigby) and the hard power of the Stones. I like the Austin music scene particularly the tenor of Willie Nelson (Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain), the cynicism of Kinky Friedman (Ride Em Jewboy) and pure strength of Marcia Ball (Mama’s Cookin). I enjoy playing the Mariachi’s (Cu Cu Ru Cu Cu) at late suppers. I love Jazz In smokey bars. I am joyed by the energy and hope of the Hymns sung in Black churches.
