I live at beach and love to open windows at night and hear the sound of the waves breaking on shore.

That is one of my favorite things to fall a sleep too.

So... (winks cheekily @ TheQuiet1). I really detest people saying "needless to say" and then say it anyway. If it's needless, don't freaking say it. Also.. people that punctuate every sentence with "like". People that use big words in the wrong context! Guess what, using big words you don't fully understand does not make you sound more "photosynthesis"! Rant over!

Needless to say, this was a rare case when it caused me to laugh at its use. : )

The one I didn't watch.

Somewhat kidding. Not a big fan of his, but it isn't like I really dislike him either. The only movie of his that stands out in my mind is "The Man in the Iron Mask." All other performances, that I have seen, I felt were just average. Granted I have seen them all.

Since my last thought wasn't really what this thread was about (it was just me venting), I will leave you with this while I can.

"Damn." is my thought right now when I just realized that I am at 7% battery power and I left my laptop charger at work.

It is like nails on a chalkboard when someone ends a sentence with "so". I got a reall good deal on my new car, so. What do you mean "so"? "So" ... what. Finish the sentence.

Just finished watching the William sisters play tennis at the U.S. Open. Was hoping it would be a closer match.

I work in this field, so I will send you some things via PM to try. In short, most cases of slowness like you are describing usually turn out to be something installed on your computer, it could be spyware, adware, maleware, virus, trojans or just too many helper apps. It seems every company wants to insall a toolbar on your system or some other helper app. I never let any of that kind of stuff get installed on my systems. Of course, some software doesn't give you the choice, so I usually go back to my installed programs and remove all the extra junk that gets put on.

Anyway, I will send you a PM with some things you can try. No boob show required for help. : )

Selected a Hip Hop song on Youtube and now letting it just play random music. Currently up is: Currently Chris Brown & Tyga's Ayo. BTW, nice to see Lush is back up. At least I got to pay a quick visit before turning in for the night.

A little gloomy, but soon to get worse. Tropical Storm Erika is a little ways off the coast and supposed to strengthen to a Cat. 1 Hurricane. It is coming my way and scheduled to hit Sunday/Monday. It will be about my 5th if it doesn't turn and miss. Here is for hoping it misses.

I was once deceived about a person's gender for 7 years.

Wow, 7 years. How did you ever find out after that long of a period? Did they just suddenly come clean?

Not enough info for me. For me it's all about a connection. Which one is nice? Someone can be 'classy' but a stuck up snob. Someone can be slutty but be outgoing and with a good heart.

I would want to chat with the one that acted sweet/nice and see how we hit it off.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. I would have to make some sort of judgement call by watching and listening to them to try and determine which one I think I would have the best connection with. I would be open to any of the three; it's just the connection that is important.

Some yes, but not all. And in some cases it started out as a yes as the friendship was in its early stages, but then after years of friendship - never thought of it again.

The Outlow Josey Wales

Unforgiven

Young Guns

Big Jake

Tombstone. Val Kilmer was perfect as Doc Holliday

There is one more that I am really trying to remember. I've been wanting to watch it again, but I can't remember the name. I am hoping someone will post a name of a movie here that I recognize as it.

As someone already stated, most people here don't use their real pictures as their avatars and many that do, don't show you enough of themselves to be identified. Not sure why it is even a big deal. Of course people are going to want some sort of privacy, especially on a site like this. And yes, my avatar is not me and never will be me. I just picked it because I liked the guys clothing style. I may switch it out in the future to some other image that may represent something I like or trait in my personality.

However, just because my avatar is not me, that doesn't mean you cant get to know the real me. The real me is not a picture, it is my personality and interests. The things I say and express here, are the real me. In fact, if we become friends, you may get to know more about me than people who know me in person, because the anonymity allows me to be more open about my real thoughts and feelings. Not to say, I wouldn't ever consider sharing my real picture with an online friend if that was important to them. I have before and I would again, but I would have to feel a connection and certainly trust them, especially since I probably tell them more than some of my in person friends.

In our daily lives, where people see your real face, I am sure most of us wear some type of virtual mask, so to speak, at least to those who are not our family or friends. So seeing the real face, doesn't mean they know the real you either.

On Lush, my mask is my avatar. The rest is me.

In my in-person life, my face is real, but the rest is some sort of mask of various degrees. Many people get to know a little about me, but I am guarded to only let a select few to get to know a lot about the real me.

But to answer the original question, I was fooled once in talking to what I thought was a girl and it turned out to be a guy. Although I don't mind people using fake pictures, I do like to know your gender and personality is not fake.

Jane hangs up the phone in frustration. In an attempt to compose herself, she purposely looks away from what she is seeing on the elevator and focuses on the other security cameras. Jane has never thought of herself as a voyeur before, but she finds herself being drawn back to watching the two women. An idea suddently comes to her that she immediately finds exciting. She could turn on the sound - just for a little while. Jane's breathing starts to quicken and her pulse starts to race as she hovers her hand over the button, that if pressed, will start relaying the sounds from within the elevator to the security desk's sound system.

I sing along to Taylor Swift in the car. Often louder than my daughters.

That made me laugh. I really really hate to admit it, but I can sometimes find myself taping my foot to her as well. I guess I just came out of the closet on that. : )

I've always hated my real name, but one of my friends legally changed her name to mine. She hated her name.

With you on that one. I never liked my name either - it didn't fit my personality. I ended up creating a new middle name, which is what I usually go by now. I didn't change my first name, since it was given to me by my parents and they still call me by it and so do many of my friends that never knew me by any other name. But for quite some time now, I introduce myself to new people by the middle name that I chose for myself. As I mentioned in a previous post, I am part Native American and I like the customs that some tribes had where you may have been born with one name, but you could get one or more names later on that better suited your personality or what you are known for.

So if you don't like your name, you can change it. Doesn't even have to be done legally. I know four people who have changed their name. Only 1 of them did it legally. The person who did it legaly - everyone calls him only by his new name, including his family. The other people who did it, seem to mostly go by their new name, but like me, still have some people call them by their given name.

Good gracious, be proud of your heritage! Learn all you can of your family history.

Completely agree. I am only 1/4 Cherokee, but proud of it. Kind of wish I were 100%, but I guess that would be insulting the Irish part of my heritage. Be proud of your heritage - nothing to be ashamed of.

It has a graphical tribal print of stick figures (like cave drawings) of people carrying surfboards.
