Back in my reckless youth, I was a dancer at a Strip Club on Bourbon Street in NOLA. While working there though, I had to do a bit more than just give ladies private dances! I was also one of the Club's Male Leads who performed what we called 'Love Dances' with our female dancers. Back in the day they actually used to allow stuff like that! These days the sight of a male and female on a striptease stage wearing nothing but g-strings is almost unheard of as it's been practically outlawed! Anyway, I somehow got my shit together by moving away, getting a job and going to college. I got married for 10 years but in that entire time would never even have dreamed of telling my neo-con wife about my past.

In my long lost youth I performed 'Love Dances' or 'Adagios' with female exotic dancers at a few Strip Clubs.  This was obviously back in the day when a few select Clubs actually featured or 'allowed' such performances.  I haven't written about it mainly because those type of Dance Acts are practically unthinkable to our present day younger readers.  They simply cannot imagine it therefore they cannot relate to it!  Plus, I feel that people today would probably dismiss my experiences as purely 'fiction fantasy.'       

Performing my first totally nude Love Adagio!  Prior to doing it I was scared out of my mind but once on stage it was easily one of my most fulfilling experiences as a Dance Artist but it was also one of the most intimate/bonding experiences I have ever felt.  Those feelings and sensations will never go away. 

People I know would be absolutely 'blown away' if they ever found out that in my long lost youth I used to perform what were called 'Love Dances' with girls at a Strip Club.    

Siesta Key in Florida is a really good one.  Back in the day though, South Beach in Miami was THE PLACE especially if you were very physically fit.  Oh my gosh!  Beautiful girls in thongs!  Beautiful guys in thongs!  Lots of beautiful girls and guys together and in thongs.  Oh LA LA!   

As a former Exotic Dancer and straight Male Ballet Dancer I not only slept with two different women on the same night but oftentimes, with two at the same time.  In my privatized former world, this was actually not such a big deal as with Dancers, sex is an 'entitled' cathartic release from what we did.  Nonetheless, as a male dancer I certainly didn't go about the studio thumping my chest about it as this is beyond rude and disrespectful.      

It's an interesting topic so allow me to address your topic from a 'purely' dancer's perspective.

From as early as the 60s to as late as the early 90s, seeing a 'mostly nude' male and female dancer on a Paris or Vegas Cabaret stage and performing 'Love Adagios' was not all that unusual.  In fact, there were many select Strip Clubs which featured what were called 'Love Dances' between Male Exotic Dancers and Female Exotic Dancers.  At both type of venues, paired couples most often performed in g-strings however at a few places the Dancers were required to go full nude.

Today, you would never see such a thing and I bet most of you on this site are far too young to even know such dance acts actually existed?    

What changed then?  Better yet!  Why was the sight of a nude male performing with a nude female so accepted in those previous decades but not today?  

For all of today's Progressive posturing and supposed acceptance, it would seem that things back then were much more wide open and free spirited?
