Hello friends,

I am expanding my horizons, and inviting more fun into my life... I have a feeling there is much fun to be had here! I didn't even realize this was a site for writers, but I recently ran across a piece i had written probably 10 years ago or more. When I was writing it, I loved it. when I read it over later, I hated it, and now that so much time has elapsed, I find i love it again! Maybe I am here for a reason! Can't wait to investigate what many benefits there are to this site...

Interests
I am very much into people. I believe in kindness, honesty, integrity, a sense of humor, and in valuing others, no matter the age, the creed, the looks, etc.. I basically respect everyone, until someone shows clearly they are not deserving. Unfortunately, I have had to admit that there are those in this world without a spark of goodness in them...So I seek out the funny, the kind, the amazing, and the fun...


other than people, I love nature, being outdoors, birds, trees, flowers, lakes and rivers... walking hiking sitting under trees... I like reading, I like beautiful places, beautiful things, and I have a tendency to pick things up randomly, like rocks, pieces of glass, shells, rusty bolts... broken robin's eggs... whatever appears in front of me suddenly becomes my next interest!

Favorite Books
I was blown away the first time I read Science Fiction, and it was Heinlien's 'Stranger in a Strange Land', which eventually led to the 'Mists of Avalon' - Marion Simmer Bradley. I also enjoyed 'The Deep End of the Ocean" though I can't even remember it now... just the feeling that the writer had enchanted me, somehow... Anything by Patterson, by Anais Nin, Poetry,
Lyrics, limericks, joke books... I have a hard time whittling any list down to a reasonable place... I love my bird, tree, wildflower, mushroom, and weed guides... I actually do sit and read through them once in a while!

Favorite Music
Rock and Roll, Jazz - not the discordant kind - has to have a recognizable melody line, Classical, but not the heavy stuff... Folk music, newer country is ok, have not been educated to appreciate Opera, I like a good John Phillip Sousa once in a while... I love to sing along with music... can't dance to save my soul, but I love music...
