I am on here to meet and talk with other women. Proud mom of two lovely daughters and a caring, loving, funny husband who make life worthwhile.

My interests are eclectic and enjoy meeting and talking with those with different backgrounds and pursuits. While having been around Lush for a few years now, the past few months, in particular, have been a rediscovery of the joy in honest friendships and loving, healthy relationships.

I rejoice in the friends on my friends list and am proud and delighted they are there. Some i have known for years, some a shorter time, but all have a special place with me. There are of course many, many others who i dont see as often but i still count as friends and companions in this journey.

And yes, I do read profiles - a wonderful opportunity to kick start a chat. We all have our little quirks and one of mine is seeing someone's friend list; it tells me a great deal in a short amount of time. Now clearly, you may choose to reveal or not reveal whatever you wish in your profile, but if you hide your friends list just walk on by, please.

Interests
Love cycling (used to race "back in the day"), watching some team sports on campus (women's basketball, water polo, volleyball). love research, reading and writing. I recently resumed swimming again, completely forgetting how much fun it is chasing that black line on the bottom of the pool.

Favorite Books
Reading "Disputed Questions" for about the 5th time, Interior Castle, Spiritual Pilgrims, Axiomatic Set Theory (don't ask). Conceptions of Truth - Wolfgang Kunne. Interesting read

Thomas Merton, Patrick Suppes, Rudolf Carnap, W.V. Quine, A. Pap, Kurt Godel, Robert Ludlum, Tom Clancy, Teresa of Avila

Favorite Movies
Action/adventure...Bourne movies, Tom Clancy-based movies (Hunt for Red October, etc). Had the pleasure of catching "Love Actually" again. I had forgotten what a charming movie that was - an absolute feel good movie. Now, along the same vein, I have to search out "Notting Hill" again.

Favorite TV Shows
Madam Secretary, GOT, America's Test Kitchen, taken a liking to Blue Bloods, a nice show on many levels - how i love the portrayal of family cohesion.
