Whether you agree or disagree with the topic, EVERY member, especially a paying member, should have the right to post a topic of their choice. Posting off handed comments and pics just to get the thread closed because you do not agree is a pretty low act and shows more about you than the OP.
To the OP, the system will never change but thank you for the discussion. In my opinion, the only fair system would be that when someone submits their story, their name is not displayed to the mod.
BTW, I am surprised that you have not received any going by you average scores

My Mother has had a mastectomy, and was looking forward to celebrating her being cancer free for four years at the end of the year... but, now sadly, we have to wait until Wednesday for the results of her biopsy, as she recently developed an inverted nipple on her remaining breast

Hello hornymorny,
One way to fix this problem is go into settings and then go to Customize Profile. Down the bottom are some options and you can either have a white or black background with opposite color font by ticking "Use the dark theme with transparency" and then adjust the Background transparency until you can see the bio clearly.
I have mine currently set for 10% transparency so you can still read the bio and slightly see the background behind it.

After reading the entire thread and understanding both sides of the story, I wonder if there may be a solution that will suit all instead of the bickering.
How would it be if there were two free memberships?
One free membership for just reading stories and one free membership for just the social side of Lush? I know that many come for just the stories and many just come on here for their friends/chat/forums. Maybe this could be discussed with admin?
As for those who do not want to pay for membership because they don't have paypal or credit card, you can simply send me the money via post and I will happily gift you the membersip

I have lost a couple of badges recently, one being the Autobiographer badge and the second being the Gold Membership badge.
My question is, is that if in fact a year has already past
, what happens to the unlimited image uploads? Do I lose some images and will I be able to upload any more pictures or do I have to delete some to get it back to under 20mb?

Lush has given us options to view certain stories by a) choosing which categories we wish to see by selecting the tags on the front page, or by b) excluding stories that may not interest us by going into our account settings/hide story categories. The latter hides all the stories on the site from that category/s that we have ticked. For example, if I don't wish to ever see an story, I set my settings to exclude that category - I don't even see these certain stories if I visit someones profile!
Unfortunately, the forum and chat rooms are a different story. If someone posts a topic that some may deem offensive, they have no choice but to view it, same as chat rooms. The only way to keep peace is to keep the more controversial topics away from the discussion areas. You will always find that there will be one or two who are unfamiliar with the rules and often break them when discussing the topics - yet stories are moderated before posting and any that break the rules will not be published.
Please understand that these rules are not meant to insult you or your tastes, they are set to keep everyone happy and the public areas inviting to all. Just try to understand not all find reluctance and role playing inviting - I do, but many many don't

This could be considered a bug (hint hint GAV lol). When you are uploading straight to the album gallery, there is no option to resize. So after I read your message, I tried to upload a picture to the image gallery after deleting the original and unticked the box, but still no success.
I did finally work it out
I had to rename all my images before uploading into the image gallery before transferring them to the photo album. I think it has something to do with the cache?

I don't know if I am missing something or the settings have been changed?
I created an Album to display a comic book I am working on about 3 weeks ago. The Album contained one picture (the cover) and when viewed, the display is rather large (which is what I want). Today, I added a few more pages and the display is at minimum which makes it hard to view the writing.
Is there a way around the minimum settings so viewers may read the pages?

A little off topic, but concerning copyright pictures, most pictures on the net are copyrighted and even though posting a pic is not actually breaking the laws unless it is stated, using unpaid and photoshopping images/brand items (even ones that do not have a copyright icon) on your own artwork/coverart and claiming it as your own, is just as bad, even worse - legally and morally. We should not come down heavy on one member when the forum is posted with hundreds of images with watermarks.

One bug that has been bugging me for awhile now is the comment count. On a profile etc the comment count is never the same as when you enter the story. For example, a story of mine states on my profile that I have 35 comments, but in the story itself, it states that there is only 34. This does not happen on all stories but I have noticed on several - http://www.lushstories.com/stories/oral-sex/down-in-the-morning.aspx for example states on her profile 55 comments, but in the story itself, only 54 comments.

Gav, I think I have found a bug worthy of a badge. When you log in using the shift to enter the site invisible, it becomes undone if you happen to change any settings. Yesterday I logged in and changed the order of my stories around - then went back to my profile and noticed that I had gone from invisible to online ???

When you have your account deactivated, not only can you still use the forums as usual like this, but you still can still receive messages. I have had a couple from admin (story notifications) and one sent from a member (not sure how?) while being deactivated, but did not receive any email notifications. So I have to activate my account to view them to see what they are about - but if I had an email notification, I would have a general gist about what the message is regarding without having to do all this activating and deactivating again - or it would be simpler not to receive any messages at all when deactivated as I original thought the case would be. Make sense??? no? good I never do LOL.
