I was working as a Nursing Assistant for many years. At one of my jobs I was working in an independent living apartment complex for quadriplegics.

Often times late at night a call light would go off, it was a woman named Paula, she had no arms or legs. When I got to her room she would be sitting up in bed crying in pain, she would ask me to rub her back. Every time she would say “you have healing hands, you should be doing this for a living.”

At the time I did not think I had the time or money to return to school, later I landed what should have been a dream job for a Nursing Assistant but it turned out to be a bit of a nightmare due to inner political drama. So I decided it was time to make a change.

While I was looking into a course for Nursing I noticed a course offering for Massage Therapy, I remembered Paula’s words and enrolled in the Massage Course.

As a Massage Therapists and hook up I have been absolutely blessed to have helped people recover from injuries, chronic pain disorders, and stress.

I have been in the field now for eight and a half years and there is still so much to learn and many different modalities to explore.
