Insurance decided to total my son's car. I decided to not rush to ATL to help and thought it would be good for him to try to buy a car on his own. I encouraged him to research a good used car in his price range. He found one. Bought it today. Set up insurance. Negotiated and filled out all paperwork/payment on own. And on way home from car lot, the car died. Had to be towed to auto shop. He is beyond upset. He called dealer and they basically said he bought it, his to deal with now. And I feel guilty I wasn't there. Did they see inexperienced car buyer and sell him a known lemon? Would I have noticed something wrong? He said it was fine on the test drive. Hope to God it doesn't have a bad engine.

It’s the best, but Covid has made it difficult to get back to work. The area I worked in the customers can go on line and get the tickets for the zoo and parking. I hate this I really loved my job! The people I worked with were the best. They always had your back with nasty people. I never understand why people would be so angry as they visited the zoo. We have a delightful collection of rummies, rumplies, restitives, restoratives, renovated, renovators, revivers, revivifiers, transmogrifiers, transAtlantic, transPacific, transsexual, terpsichorian, um, folks around here, so we can probably find space for you!

No one seems to be sitting next to Terence right now, for instance, so you can make yourself comfy by the nut warmer. Even warm your nuts!

Oh, by the way, Terence is the head of our security unit. He's (she's?) a tarantula, so it helps to throw him a cricket every now and then – but NO dragonflies, OK? Lucky wouldn't like that!

The throbbing head of this disorganization is Bill, Mr. Rumples himself. He can usually be found stretched out snoring…I mean reading in the back corner, with a mug of Bertha's Best Brew, often with a shot of Beaver Breath in it.

We have a rotating series of bartenders, some of whom are bare, and some of whom are tender and sweet. Our head of section, and one of the few incidences of class around here is Madam Curvy, a long-time denizen, and de facto godmother to us all. (So don't cross her, okay? I mean really don't cross her…)

A new hire, and a high renewer, is our resident witch (no really!), Michelle. She's normally here by now. Strange. Well, she'll fly in eventually. Be nice to her (or else!), but don't try to pick her up. She's into girls. I know. I've got the face-slaps to prove it.

Our resident musicologist and DJ is the eminent Carl from Kansa (I know a joke that goes like that…but another time, perhaps). He'll come in and lift everyone's spirits, as well as some of the girl's skirts. That's how his face got to looking that way!

And there is an international cast of characters. But if you've been lurking, you know about them. They'll introduce themselves when they're awake.

So, welcome! I don't believe anyone's set up Big Bertha for coffee yet, and I dasn't try, but I can make you some tea if you like, and we have a wide selection of boring beers , risky wines , and fine likkers . Can I get you something?
