I'm 78 years old,  I started out as an Intelligence Operative with the air force (RAAF) and resigned from there  after 9 years. I went into insurance management and was quite successful there. Then I was head-hunted away to run a doctors' investment company, whgich I took from an $80,000 loss situation when I took it over, to a $35 million turn-over when I resigned from there, 8 years later. I then bought my own airfield and flying training operation where I  owned 4 aircraft, and had quite a number more using the airfield for tie down purposes (i.e. parking their aircraft). At the same time, I bought a 300-seat restaurant called The Ultimate, which I ran as maitre d', then head chef. I eventually sold those (in Victoria) and moved to Queensland where I went into newspapers, buying my own and eventually owning four. I sold them and became a Press Secretary to 3 different Federal Members of Parliament for a total of 9 years. I then went back to newspapers as an editor for 5 years, before retiring in 2005. I have 3 children, 2 girls and a boy, all grown now, and I have 5 grandchildren and one great-grandson. I have been married to Jaccy for 58 years.
