I'm a little dirty blonde Florida girl whose life has slowly taken her up the eastern seaboard. A heavily athletic schedule in high school allowed me a scholarship and a chance to experience a new area of the country. Like many girls, it was college where I met my girlfriend and made the decision to alienate my family by becoming a lesbian. OK, just kidding. Yes, I met my girlfriend in college, but my family tolerated it, for the most part.

I identify as a lesbian (God, that sounds so Tumblr) but I suppose in reality I'm bi. I've had boyfriends, and plenty of sex with guys, but I fell head over heels madly in love with my girlfriend, and we've been together six years since. We've dabbled and experimented, but in the end always seem most content living a simple life, which we do. For many years, home was on the beach where we could lay in the sand and try to extend college life after graduation. Now, home is a small house next to a creek, and I'm fortunate enough to be the housewife while she brings home the bacon. Which is good, because we love bacon.

I really enjoy reading the various stories in all the categories here, and maybe someday will have the guts to write one. Like a lot of girls, I have the journals and the notebooks filled with endless ideas and half-finished poetry and songs. I don't consider myself deep by any means, but I like to think I can have a conversation.

Speaking of which, I'm not looking for all these random people to add me one here just for quickies and one-night chats. If you want to be my friend, I'm down, but you'd better bring something to the table. It can be about sex or relationships, I just need it to have some substance, ya know?

And yes, my name is legit. It's who I am, and how I live.

Interests
I'm a tomboy really. I love sports, played a number of them, and can hold my own in conversation about a team or match. Also grew up a wrestling fan - yes I know it's scripted - but that doesn't make it any less athletic. I wish women could have a bigger role in it.

My main interest in life is building a future with my girl. We lived in a place that allowed us to get married, and we have, but there's so much more to it than that. I'm helping her reach her goals and I'm supporting her dreams, without putting mine to the side. It's a delicate balance and for now it's my job. And when I see her every morning I know I have the greatest job in the world.

Favorite Books
Christie Ridgeway, Carly Phillips - anything I can devour in one sitting that is light but still intriguing. I'd love to be able to write those kind of books.

Favorite Music
I'm a jazz girl - always have been. Growing up surrounded by bubble gum pop and grunge and country, I hid myself away in Ornette Coleman and Max Roach. Also love smooth jazz. It plays through our home all day and into the night. Helps keep us relaxed and provides the perfect soundtrack for life along a creek in the middle of nowhere.
