I've noticed that the new format is leaving me out in the cold. Specifically, I can no longer comment on stories as a non-gold member. That was not the case under the old format, and it needs to make a comeback.

If I may I would like to turn that around. For less than $1 a month, for bronze level paid membership, a member can use a host of features not available to those who have no paid subscription. Perhaps this thread is helpful:
