Hello, it appears that at the end of my story there are several white pages. I'm sure I didn't put them. Do you know how that happened? Thank you

Quote by dronette56Same. But I checked randomly other stories and they don't have the spacesMine too. I even pasted it from Windows Notepad. It must be a browser issue. The white space isn't there during editing only after it's saved.

Being the curious sort, I checked your two stories, and another by a friend of mine which has all that crazy whitespace, and what's doing it is that there are a whole bunch of blank <p> tags in the HTML source after the story text. Most stories I spot checked don't have these, but yeah, a few do.
More curiously, the number of blank <p> tags is (almost?) exactly double the number of non-blank <p> tags from the story! WiseGinger, you have 366 paragraphs in your story, and 366 blank <p> tags follow it! And dronette56, you have 118 paragraphs and there are 117 blank paragraphs (unless I counted wrong). And the other story has 52 paragraphs and 52 blank ones.
So my guess is that something in the script that that handles the story submission is inadvertently generating extra blank paragraph tags (or line breaks that the page rendering translates into blank paragraphs). Certainly nothing you are doing wrong, but a "bug". Maybe submit this bug as a Support Ticket (https://www.lushstories.com/support/new-ticket)?

Further update: I just submitted a story tonight, and re-checked it while it was in the queue... sure enough, I had a bunch of blank paragraphs too! I noticed the way I do it in my word processor (I use Open Office, not MS Word), I have two carriage returns in my document between paragraphs, since my settings don't have extra vertical padding between paragraphs. So maybe in the case of all of us, the submission form actually grabs both line breaks, but only displays one in the editor, "hiding" the extras from us, and then piles all the empty ones up at the end rather than inserting them between the others? In any case, still a bug I would contend.
So I deleted my story (because you can't edit a story once it's in queue) and resubmitted it; when I did so, I collapsed all my double line breaks down (put it in a plain text editor and find-replaced two line breaks with one). Now when I view my story, there is no wonky space at the end!
While playing pool, never underestimate the importance of The Break! My friend Alicia came over for a friendly game, and her killer break turned me on so much I just had to take her right there on the pool table!
The editor is still doing unwanted things. No matter how you construct your text, you can not get xxx/yyy/zzz without huge inserted line breaks, which renders many poetic forms useless or at the very least, unsightly. The paragraph returns are HUGELY pointless. They look bad on my screen (36") and even worse on my pad and phone. I actually missed a whole last sentence that dropped off the page in a Micro, turning it into a Huh? The program used here would be classed as rudimentary at the junior high across the street from me. Six hundred years of graphic display and this is what we have sunk to?
Yes I noticed this white space too. One of the many bugs in the way stories are shown. I tried editing and deleting the white space. That made my story disappear - apparently it's with the moderators which is a waste of their time.
The new editor sucks. With the old one, there was a button ('source' I think) that would show you the actual html code so you could edit that and remove bits of html like <p> or <br> or < > but with the new one you can't do that. So I don't know how Seb managed to see the html?
Other bugs are that html code pops up and spacing is wrong in the preview you get on the lush front page. Paragraph breaks get stuck together without even a space between sentences. And links between related stories have been lost making navigating through a sequence of stories very difficult.
I'm pausing story submitting until this mess is sorted out.
I will post some of this on the bugs thread. Oh. No. I can't. The bugs thread has been locked
I have this "white space" issue too. It's very annoying. As well as making the story look untidy, it must mean some people don't scroll down far enough to reach the score/comments section. Grr. 😠

The other issue here is that I don't get the email when one of the author I follow submit a story. That sucks
