Answer:

While submitting a story, enter a unique "tag".

After you have read a story, at the bottom of the page it will say, "If you liked this story, you may like these."

If you read any of my stories, it will point to my other ones because I use the tag, "Melissa20".

All of my stories refer to the other ones of mine.

Also it seems this site has attracted an enormous following of loving people - as these stories are the one's that are top of all the tables!

Relatively 'normal' stories don't seem so popular, things like gang bangs, wife slut, cuckold - that usually would be most popular - are not so here!

Although I tend not to do it myself, many Lush Authors who are also active on The Lush Forum frequently include a link on their 'Signature' banner (the one that appears at the base of this post says "It's a Dirty Job But Someone's Got To Do It....") advertising their latest story, adding a link and asking that people might vote and comment.

In a recent collaboration with my very talented Lush friend Mazza, who uses this method to let people know about her latest work, I was quite amazed to find that we had gained over 80 votes within a week, a host of comments and indeed garnered an 'Editor's Pick' ribbon.

I have no doubt that Mazza's championing of our story really helped increase the viewing figures since none of my other solo-stories have attracted such huge interest in so short a time.... (Or it could simply be that my collaborator in this case is simply a finer writer than I!!!!)

(Now if I could only work out HOW she does it!!! LOL!)

As Dirty Martini once commented, add a tag for every possible sexual act....
or have an attractive Avatar.

Of course there is always Facebook and Twitter, and probably millions of other places on the net where you can post links to your story...

Most people don't go to that much effort unless they're actually selling something...for example, two of my stories here on Lush are coming out in an anthology on e-book soon...I'll promote that when it comes out, otherwise I won't really bother...

Just saying...

You know you want it, you know you need it bad...get it now on Amazon.com...

This seems like a good enough thread to post this...

Here's a Facebook change I can live with...#Facebook has announced its support of #hashtags as of today as matter of fact...so, go out and start hashing it up my Lush friends...

Might do that, but mark my words, odds are I'd make a hash of the whole thing. ;)
