Update on my April goals
My collaboration story is coming along nicely. It's with my co-Author at the moment.
Aphrodite's Gift is quickly coming together and should be up in a week or so.
It's not even April yet and I am 100% confident these goals will be met & then maybe another.

Okay, I should've not put this out here because you never know when inspiration will hit. I had a tingle of an idea floating in my head and it became so much more than a tingle and Rayna was born. Rayna's story demanded to be written and had to put these plans down. Hopefully I can get on track to make these stories happen and meet my goal.

My overall goal is to constantly challenge myself with my writing. Otherwise it can get stale. That means thinking outside the box, going a little deeper with characters, and just not defaulting to formulas I've relied on in the past.
My short term goal is to finish the last edits on Part Two of my most recent story, West Coast Games. As someone who has lagged with multi-chaptered stories in the past, I am happy that I was able to finish writing the entire thing before submitting a portion of it. It's so easy to lose momentum and after 10 hours of editing, if you don't have the next part to reach for, the natural thing is to want to take a breather... that turns into a few drinks... that turns into a few weeks of fun... months... uhmm, you get the picture.
Anyway, that was a goal I set for myself back in January when I started and I'm happy I was able to hold myself to it.

I managed to bang out about 250 words of that motherfuckin' werewolf story about a week ago, and I've since lied to my publisher that I'll break its back this weekend. So I suppose my immediate writing goal is to actually do that...
I do desperately want to finish because another publisher in the UK is calling for short erotica submissions featuring uniforms by mid July, and I want to get a few stories in for that.
And I want to rework another two of my stories for publication here. But they'll only take a couple of days each, so I'll probably do that while I'm procrastinating on the werewolf thing. Man, I've got a problem...

Lately my attempts to complete any of my erotic fiction has been an excellent example of creative minimalism.
The semester is over for me. I generally let my students loose a little early. They think it's because I'm so considerate and want to ease stress for them during finals week. I just like to have all those term papers graded early. I've just handed over the final ones to my TA. I'm going to give some hugs and kisses at graduation, because I really hate to see my favorites move on. Then, I'm out.
I'm really going to concentrate on my fiction for a while. This includes finishing out the two series I've started on here. So, you guys can hold me to it. I also want to create my own web site. Anyone offering to help? Going once, going twice...

Just putting down a relatively short-term goal here
I'm giving myself until 14 June to write out the story in my head for the Supernatural Sex competition. I've started on it. But in between exams and revision for exams, it's been an on-again, off-again endeavour instead of just writing it out in one sitting. Once my papers are cleared by the end of this month (May), I should be able to get it done properly and perhaps even have some time for editing before the deadline. We'll see how it goes.
Hopefully the next time I check into this thread, I'd be able to say I've completed my goal.xx

Well, my goal is to become a quality author. Lush has been a great platform for me to learn. I have tried several different genre, including poetry. I don't have any desire to be published but just to improve my skills. The mods are great and help tremendously. My immediate goal would be to receive a recommended read. My stories seemed well received and scored, with plenty of compliments from well respected authors. However, I don't seem to attract one of those little blue RR marks. My frustration comes from reading some of the RR that don't deserve the nod. But, I will keep on plugging away. Art is subjective.

So I have a new (sort of) story in my head. Just hashed out about 1k words so far. It's a weird one, but there couldn't be a more suitable time for me to write it.
Apologies for being so cryptic. I just don't know how/what to tell you about it just yet.
This is just me checking in to say that I *will* write this story. It just needs to be told. I'm not giving myself a deadline on this one, although progress is looking quick and I'm thinking that it should be ready in, at most, one month's time. Of course it depends on whatever else distracts me during this period of writing. Wish me luck.x

Honestly, I still haven't gotten past those 1k words! For some reason, I can't stop re-writing the intro. The category has yet to be decided, but the way this damn thing is asking to be written, it's almost bound to fall under 'Love Stories'. (Side note: I find it so annoying how I tend to revert back to the theme of love no matter how hard I try not to, haha!)
