Okay the question was asked me today and I wasn't sure of the answer. So when writing a story when do you capitalize G/god?

If I write "ohmygod that is a beautiful nail polish!"

If I write "Oh my god, I'm cumming!"

When is it proper to capitalize God (of course it is proper when talking to/about Our Heavenly Father), but what if you are just using it as a term of excitement? And does it matter if it is three separate words or all one word?
I am pretty sure it doesn't have to be capitalized when used as a " descriptive" word of excitement, only when talking about a deity. As for one word or three, I am not entirely sure.
My RC upbringing was that "God" is your religion's deity, and "god" is everyone else's. So, I guess the intent of the invocation of the word would be the determining factor; that, and whether your "God" wants you calling out to him/her/it during the throes of passion, describing your nail polish, etc.
