Standard author advice is to create your own author web page and start publishing a monthly ezine or electronic newsletter. Okay. Got it. But besides “I published a new free story today,” what else do I write about?

Do people who read erotic romance stories want writing tips?
Romance tips?
Get away ideas?
Stories about the biggest sex toy I’ve ever been pegged with?
Tips on anal exploration and fucklicking?
“How to read a LushStory while you masturbate”?

I’m just not sure where to go with this?

Suggestions? Lessons learned? Thanks.

PS
I’m using WordPress and will probably go with the free version of Mail Poet to start. Thanks.

So, just checking in to see if anyone had a suggestion. So far, not so much. Maybe you folks get enough reader feedback being on Lush. No?

Anyway, if you are interested, I'm getting setup up for my WordPress blog using the MailPoet plugin and a free account over at Mail Poet Plugin . I have no opinion about it yet--just getting started.

I'll let you know what I find out. Once I get the ezine started, you can join up and see what that is like. But keep your panties on, ladies! I'm just getting started.

You asked for ideas that you could write about except to mention that you'd recently published a new story. That question is probably one that has kept a great many of us from setting up our own web-page. I know of one blogger that invites other people with their own pages or simply other authors to make guest appearances and write about different topics. Perhaps publish a brief summary of your stories, and then offer a link to this site so anyone that was interested could finish reading your masterpiece.

I don't know if people that only read stories, whether romance types or otherwise, would be interested in writing tips. It's possible some might be. I'd think you will find a larger audience for your blog with people that like to write, especially anyone that is sincere about improving their writing skills.

As far as romance tips go, keep in mind that a talented author with a good imagination and grasp of the English language can make almost any setting into a romance story. It's the quality of the description and details that will make or break the story. People have different ideas what is romantic.

Writing about toys and different sexual activities would no doubt appeal to some if that's where their interests lie. If not, then they probably wouldn't be so enthused about that issue, but that's not to say they would cancel their subscription. I think it all boils down to the fact that no matter what you try, you won't be able to appeal to everyone. As has often been said on this site, 'write about what interests you'. You will enjoy the experience more, and that will show up in your writing. I wish you good luck and success with your idea.
If you're feeling bored during this Covid-19 epidemic I’d like to suggest
you take a peek at a story I collaborated with SueBrasil, a brilliant author.
It's about a mistake in judgment a lady makes concerning a friend, based
on the hurtful words of someone that only thinks of himself. Will that
conniving person succeed in ruining a beautiful friendship, or will she see
through his lies? It's gradually creeping up towards the 30,000 mark
and we’d love any votes or hearing whatever comments you may wish
to make. It is listed in my profile under ‘FAVOURITES’ as Apologize.
