I survive on Nanna naps. I never get enough sleep at night so a quick hour after work is bliss. Then I am ready to shower and go out for dinner or whatever.
I regularly sleep between 5 and 6 hours. I used to stay up late, earlier this year, but my school schedule has me swapping around my hours, so I may go to bed early, and then get up early in the morning, anywhere from 4 am to 6 pm. Never usually sleep past then.
I'm up at 5:30am Mon - Sat for work. I go to bed at about 10pm. Health sites state that 7-8 hours sleep helps prevent heart disease. Usually got to bed at 11p, and wake sometime between 5 and 6a. If you are are getting more than 6 hours a night of sleep but still feel sluggish, you might want to look at your diet. Make sure you are eating enough GOOD food.
The newer fitness trackers have a sleep tracking feature which is nice. You can monitor how you sleep after some changes to your day. (Eating better, exercising, getting drunk before, etc) kind of cool to mess with. FYI, I usually get 1.5-2 hours of non movement sleep a night.
The older I get, the less likely it is for me to sleep in. Usually I wake before 7, and sometimes I get back to sleep for a bit longer, but usually not. Tea is always calling my name in the morning..
